That statement sounds really stupid coming from a Brewers fan. Further proof that you are an idiot. The Brewers have just five winning seasons since their last playoff appearance in 1982, and not a single winning season since 1992.
The Cubs, on the other hand have made it to the playoffs 3 times with 9 winning seasons during that same stretch.
The Brewers are the chokers in the Central...this year and every year.
At one point, the Poo Crew was leading all teams with a 24-10 record in May...14-games over .500 and 7.5 games ahead of the Cubs in the NL standings. Then, your squad fell apart (physically and mentally) and your idiot manager Ned Yost proceeded to manage your team to a stretch where they played 10-games under .500 leading to the final few weeks of the season.
And this year was as close as you will get to ending your league leading 25-year playoff drought because when we get ARod, it's over. Milwaukee will go back to their familiar spot in baseball anonymity and mediocrity.
Have fun watching the playoffs from home Brewers!....again!
And in the wise words of Yi Jianlian, "Milwaukee sucks!"

Add to the fact, the offense has been lack luster and under-achieving this year and a miserable closer. I'm surprised they even won their division, then again the Central is full of awful teams I guess one of them has to win the division.

That's what they said about the Cards too when the won it recently...worst record and blah blah blah.
So, give them a chance...baseball's a strange game. And oh, keep Bartman outta Wrigley.

Well the Mets have a real good shot at beating the Brewers for choke artist of the year.

Now if all 4 finished tied, the Mets and Phillies would have a one gamer with the loser falling into a three-way playoff for the wild card. Colorado has the best head-to-head against the other two so they have the choice of playing the winner of Mets-Phillies loser and San Diego.

Used to be like this:
Mets-Phillies winner would of course win the division.
Is no three way tie for the wildcard because the Met/Phillies loser has a worse record with the loss. Padres then play Rockies.

A very similar scenario happened in like '02
Houston and St Louis tied for NL Central and there was 1 team from the west who needed to win the last day to make a three way tie. (the other team did not win)
If all three were tied, Hou/StL would have played for the Central, then the loser was out since they had a worse record than the wildcard winner.

Why should should the Phils and Mets get two chances to qualify for the postseason? Because they tied for the lead of their division? Well, if a division winner(s) is tied with a wild card team, it means your division is garbage anyway. If anything, the teams in the west should have an advantage, not disadvantage since they have an equal record playing in a tougher division.
The only sensible option is simply to have two 1 game playoffs...one for wild card, one for NL East...allowing the NL East loser another route in is incredibly unfair, illogical, ridiculous and shameful.

If I'm getting this right, the Mets should play the Phillies if their records are even, for a one game playoff, winner takes the division. The loser, if they are tied with the WC leader would play a one game playoff with the WC leader for the final playoff spot. I think this would make the most sense, no?

Wow, talk about choke - And whats all this hating for Reyes? Talk of him not running out ground balls and being the downfall of the Mets with his attitue.
So, back to that debate of which is the better NY SS now. . .?

Ironic....
3. 1964, Philadelphia Phillies to St. Louis Cardinals
• Sitting pretty: On Sept. 21, the Phillies held a 6 1/2-game lead over both the Cardinals and Reds and were a lock. With 12 games to go, their magic number was seven, and they had never lost more than four straight.
• And then: Going for the quick kill, Phillies manager Gene Mauch decided to throw his one-two, left-right punch, Chris Short and Jim Bunning, on two days' rest. The Phillies lost 10 straight, with Short and Bunning each starting three of them and combining to allow 27 runs in 29 2/3 innings. The last three of those losses were to the Cardinals. • Key quote: "And my father said, 'I don't like to sound pessimistic or anything, but I wouldn't really be sure of playing in the World Series until I know you have clinched the pennant.'" -- Phillies infielder Ruben Amaro, on a Sept. 21 call to invite his father to see him play in the Classic

Can't wait to see who gets the NL MVP...I'm biased towards Philly so I won't even give my reasons, I only watched Phils games not Rox games, and I am sure the same is true of Rockies fans...sufficed to say it is going to be a close call.
This series should be great! Both teams are hot and I am really looking forward to it, Lets Go Phils!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
