The Cleveland Aboriginals have a pretty pitching line-up...Jays are finding out and IMO, free-swinging too much. Get on base!

Anyhow, @ Cubs. On paper, they should have pitching to get past the left-hand heavy Dodgers lineup...but...it's the Cubbies.

Blue birds are toast. Leaving too many runners on base while they swing for the fences. Jays cannot play small ball

Nope...they can't. And honestly, I can't stand Hohsay Bowteesta. Love watching him strikeout.

Kershaw to the mound today against the Cubs. Can Chicago make him look human like Bumgarner...?

The Jays are losing their composure now too. Towards the end of the game, every batter was yelling, throwing something or mouthing off to the ump. As a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, this is far from over, but the trend is the in the right direction.

How about that intentional walk for the Dodgers backfiring in about the worst way it could have last night? It was a smart call, but I think they forgot Blanton was pitching.

It was a weird chess-match between the Dodgers and Cubs. You had to wonder why LA decided to walk Coghlan to load the bases with just runners on 1st and 2nd. BUT...the strategy was to force Maddon's hand and have Chapman taken OUT of the game and get in a pinch-hitter. Blanton has been generally solid for the Dodgers and so, he just had a really bad pitch that hung around in the middle of the plate. Otherwise, I get the strategy. My head-scratcher was Maddon taking out Lester with just 70ish pitches.

Oh, I got the strategy when they did it, and until Montero teed off, I thought it was a brilliant move. Rondon is good, but he's no Chapman, and to force him to be pulled made a ton of sense to me.

I haven't followed Blanton much this year, but I know in years past he could be charitably considered on the good side of "mediocre." I didn't know Maddon pulled Lester that early, that makes no sense at all. I was flipping between that game and OSU vs Wisconsin game last night.

Well, Cubs bats have gone cold and Hill pitched the game of his life...

Maybe Lackey can even the series tomorrow.

This run totally defies logic. They won this series with basically a 2 man rotation, and a rookie that no one outside of die-hard Indians fans had ever heard of. Whoever the NL team ends up being is going to be a very tough matchup, but I like their chances. Bauer should be healed by Game 3 and Salazar will be available out of the bullpen. Not to mention the NLCS is going to a minimum of 6 games, so the NL teams will have spent just about everything in an effort to advance.

If Tito doesn't win manager of the year, it's a crime at this point.

Also, Bautista shouldn't ever talk. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...oots/92443682/

If the series goes to 7 games, they'll be playing in November. What are the odds of lake effect snow in Cleveland in November?

Well... The Jake is technically outside of the Lake Effect Snow Belt, but I'll say 99.99999999% anyway.

Assuming Cubs win this one...it'll be interesting to see if they can make Kershaw mortal on Saturday.

Assuming Kershaw Kershaws on Saturday, who would go game 7 for the Dodgers? Seems to be the strategy against them is to just survive against him and do your damage against the other guys.

Any other year I'd be pulling hard for the Cubs, but I really don't want to go up against them in the World Series. Sorry Yumcha!

Well, considering Hill made the Cubs look very foolish also in Game 3, you have to assume Game 7 is a coin-toss. Chicago, with all the baggage/history, needs to end this in 6...or anything happens in Game 7 even if on paper, Arrieta vs. Hill (part 2 now), favors the Cubbies.

Hendricks was nearly perfect too against Kershaw. And that's the thing; nearly perfect wasn't even enough...We'll see if the last couple of games that have shown Addison and Rizzo getting out of their funks means anything against Kershaw.

You're probably right, the pressure will really turn up to 11 if they won't win Saturday. Should be fun to watch though.

I don't think the dodgers don't have much choice but to start Kershaw and hill for the final games.

Well, that's per the rotation anyways. Maeta, Kershaw, Hill, Urias...so, with Maeta starting last night, it's back to Kersh and Hill.
