Neither can the Rangers
Thankfully the break is here and they can stop sucking.. I mean they've been destroyed by double digits to the Twins.. worst team in AL... in 75% of their head to head games

To be fair to the Rangers, haven't they lost 3 members of their starting rotation already this year? Even with that, they have the best record in the AL, even ahead of the Indians after that ridiculous winning streak they went on.

I was listening to sports talk radio on Friday and the guy wouldn't even talk about the Pirates v Cubs specifically the Arietta matchup, saying they don't have a chance. I actually watched that game, and he def appeared to be struggling. It was good for the Bucs to get a couple wins back on the Cubbies though for sure

So, he kinda lost it. Maybe the stress of hearing about his name in trade rumors got to him too?

Yeah...I dunno...on the local sports talk radio, they had an ex-pro athlete talking about jerseys and the Sale issue. The ex-athlete did say that there are just some absolutely ridiculous jerseys teams force players to wear...and often, they are like, WTF. In this case, Sale actually said it affected his ability to pitch and approached management who basically told him to PFO...on his part, Sale had a hissy-fit...and well, yeah.
BUT...the guy on the radio did say that Sale did what many players have wanted in the past when having to wear a ridiculous jersey/uniform.

^ I'm thinking him and Ken Williams are going to beat each other down one of these days.
Anyways, I thought the trade deadline was kinda boring this year. I am interested to see what Jay Bruce can do for the Mets offense.

He's been on a slide for a few years now. From what I heard about him, he just doesn't listen to coaching (and hadn't needed to since he was so physically talented), but not listening is starting to catch up him. Pitchers now have a few years of scouting reports on him.

I had an interesting experience with Puig last year. I took my nephew to Dodgers @ Reds batting practice and game. We bring our gloves, and each time we go he generally gets 3 or 4 baseballs from the players since he's a kid.
At one point Puig was in the outfield and caught a ball about 25 feet in front of us (we were right on the rightfield wall). He looks at my nephew, then looks me straight in the eye and tries to float a ball my way, but sails it about eight rows over my head and some brat grabs it. He gives us a little smirk, then after a bit runs in to bat.
A few swings later we're still in the same spot right on the outfield wall, and he blasts a slicing, opposite field HR that I catch right in front of my nephew's face
