The Shadow is reporting that both sides have agreed to a deal and today and tomorrow is to finalise the CBA, cross the T's and dot the I's. Announcement is imminent, perhaps as early as tomorrow night.
Other sources as well..
people in hockey are still concerned that a monkey wrench could be thrown into this...it isn't over until the whole thing is signed...it could still go south...A source just said, "People still are fearful of certain people."

To be fair each team derserves ONE ball in the lotto. There is no possible way to determine who might have finished where and the previous years standings mean nothing in this day and age of free agency and one year turnarounds.

TSN and Sportnet aren't reporting anything besides expect a deal come late June. With all due respect to US media I'll take the Canadian media's word when it comes to Hockey.

Its not like we have anything else going on up here
I wouldn't be surprised to see Crosby hold out for the Habs. He's made no secret of his desire to play in Montreal. And IMO Montreal deserves him. I'm hoping there's no season so the AHL's baby Leafs sign him up (only team in NA outside the NHL that can afford him) so I can go watch him play on the cheap.

Looks like a crop to me, Crosby isn't working out or skating right now. There's going to be a draft lottery, similar to the NBA, to decide who gets the #1 pick
