If Alfredson really wanted to put something on the line with all these "predictions", he should offer to shave that mop off his head if the sens lose.
Game 7 should be really good. All the pressure is still on Ottawa IMO. I mean if they lose again....especially first round....they will lose all credability.

Ya there is definately pressure on the leafs to win, i just think the Sens have more at stake as far as credibility. I mean they choke every year, other than maybe last year. Their effort in game 5 was pathetic, and they were on the verge of the golf course last night. They have such a talented team, but there is something that it still missing. I cant put my finger on it.
With the injuries the leafs have, its going to be tough for toronto to win. I think they are going ta have to play a New Jersey style game again. Cautious, defensive, and no pucks up the middle. But last night was their night, and they let it slip away.
Fuck Berg I cant stand that guy.

I'm hoping the Habs can pull it off as well. If the Leafs can't go all the way, I'd much rather see Montreal go further than Ottawa. I just can't stand the Sens, especially Alfredsen. I swear I'd run him over if I saw him in the street.

Cudos to the Habs. The hope of a Toronto - Montreal conference finals is still alive.
Well, so far I am 6 for 6 in my predictions.
Montreal over Boston
Tampa over NY
Philly over NJ
Detroit over Nashville
San Jose over St. Louis
Colorado over Dallas
Now all I need is for Vancouver and Toronto to win to give me the sweep To be honest, I would rather Calgary wins tonight (sorry to my fellow TSX'er in BC, but those Calgarians have been waiting a long time). But I still think Vancouver will win. We'll find out soon enough.

Yeah, but they lost in early OT. They didn't deserve to win the series anyways...not after blowing a 4-0 lead in game 6.

Way to go Sharks; the very first NHL team to win the first round of playoffs. And they did it in 5 games. They need the rest now so they can kick some second rounder's ass. Who might that be?

Ottawa over Toronto in 7
Thats one prediction I'm glad I was wrong about. But we all have Patrick Lalime to thank for the advancement. Ottawa would have been better off with me in net.
A few comments:
- When will Bob Cole finally learn that the team in possesion of the puck when the whistle is blown on a penalty, will be called for the penalty? He makes that mistake at least twice a game.
- Whats with all the RSX-S commercials on the CBC? Not even one TSX commercial.
- I really do feel bad for the Sens, I mean I hope there were no sharp objects or heights in the dressing room as a few of them looked ready to end their lives.
- The next time Toronto faces Ottawa in the playoffs, Alfreddesn (And me) and guaranteeing a Sens victory
Anyway, next round predictions.
Philly over Toronto in 6 (lets hear it fdl)
Montreal over Tampa in 7
Detroit over Calgary in 7
Colorado over San Jose in 7

My predictions for round 2:
East-
Tampa vs. Montreal: Gonna be much closer then most think, prob a couple overtime games, ill give it to tampa in 7, but i can definitly see Mon. pulling this one out.
Philly vs. Toronto: The problem for Toronto is they only have 1 day off in between series and it was a tough one with ottowa, And philly will have had almost a weeks rest, plus philly played excelent against my team, NJ, so if esche can play as well as he did against NJ and philly can get lots of trafic in front of belfore and hit everyone in sight like tehy did, i dont see the losing to tor....Philly in 5
West-
Detroit vs. Calgary: Calgary played with alot of heart in the 1st round, but the Canucks didnt play very well and looked like a different team without bertuzzi. Calgary wont be the Anahime of Minnisota of last season. They will steal 2 of them, prob at home cause the saddledome is a tough place to play, but as long as CuJo has a good series, they're completly out gunned- Detroit in 6.
Colorodo vs. San Jose: This will be a great series. San Jose has had the most time off of any team and will be fresh, plus this team reminds me of like a NJ team the past couple years- not many big name players, but lots of role players that mesh very well together. Colorodo played realy well in the 1st round, but then again Dallas played horrible most of the time. Im not convinced that the avs can win with Abeshure in net...San Jose in a hard fought 7 games.
Well see how these pan out, it willl be interesting.
