College Football: 2012 Season News and Discussion

Since, Rockstar wanted, I'll oblige.

Besides the Arky shocker... the SEC has another good chance for the NC.

On the West, it's Bama and LSU (no surprises) and on the East, it's UGA and South Carolina (but Carolina's schedule is ridiculous).

SEC

Crazy loss by Arky, but Wisconsin, Nebraska were also embarassing.
The Alabama - Arkansas game this weekend has completely lost its luster.

Notre Dame is going to get owned by Michigan State...starting the annual downward spiral for the Irish.
Now to figure out when South Carolina and Clemson will start theirs.

Some awesome games yesterday!

Florida is starting to look good. Finally feeling good about Muschamp. USC going down wasn't exactly surprising and it was comical to watch. Pitt beating VT made my jaw drop, Ohio State should of lost too.

I'm amazed this thread isn't more active

Now we have to hope Oklahoma or Oregon stay undefeated. Another all SEC championship game will maybe be the worst thing to happen to college football since Ohio State players wanted some tats in return for some game memorabilia.

And damn does the Big Ten look like shit this year. If Cal should have beat Ohio State (2 posts up), then Utah State should have beat Wisconsin.

And my posts about Notre Dame were off a bit. They're 3-0, how long before they're in the National Title talk because all hail Notre Dame?

if Notre Dame wins 3 more games, they'll be top 10 lol.

and there wont be another all SEC matchup...

even if its clear who the two best teams are, the pollsters wont let it happen.

god have mercy whoever gets thrown into the pit though

I missed the USC game, but wtf happened my bro told me that the offensive line just killed it for us.

They better get their shit together. Hoping LSU loses a game now

Gonna be going to the USC vs Cal game, better not screw that up

I think people underestimated Stanford somewhat. Just because Luck was made into this Messiah-like figure, the thinking was when he left, the rest of the team automatically sucked. they still have some good players.

I'd like to see UCLA play some real competition before I pass judgement on them. I'm not sure the Beavers are truly that test. My Sun Devils almost pulled it off against Mizzou. Decent effort, some mistakes in coaching IMO, but too little, too late.

What a weird season so far.

I don't want to give too much credit to Alabama, but the best team they've played so far is Michigan, and it looks like they have it fairly easy till the SEC championship game. (LSU doesn't have an offense)

The Big Ten is a complete joke this season.
Ohio State cannot seem to string together 4 whole quarters. There's that one quarter where the offense and defense play 100% and they look like a top 5 team, then there's the other 3 quarters.

Wondering how LSU is still in the top ten.

Amazing, and sad, that the only ranked B1G teams are Ohio State and Michigan. I think the only reason Michigan is ranked is because they were ranked so high early in the season.
It's too bad those Ohio State players didn't pay for their tattoos like all the other NCAA players did.

Next few weeks are going to be interesting.

i agree that we dont deserve our ranking.. but its hard to drop #4 out of the top 10, when they lost to #10...

whether we like it or not, it was still an 8 pt. game. but it was ugly as hell and i, like you, are not impressed with our performance this year.

A bit too near sighted of me. Without the tattoo scandal, Tressel would still be the coach (unsure if that is good or bad).
I do think that Meyer can take OSU to that "next level" that Tressel had trouble getting to the last couple years.

I agree that losing to another top ten team would not have dropped y'all that far. But the LSU offense is horrible to watch this year. Really curious how they'll do again SCar. Speaking of which, still waiting for them to drop games they have no business losing.

LSU visiting A&M in 2 weeks should be fun to watch with LSU's defense and A&M's offense.

Goddamit. That LSU vs A&M game was a battle.

IMO, A&M dominated the first half except for the last 4 minutes where they gave up 2 touchdowns - turnovers hurt us bad.

Second half LSU played much better. Our kicker fucked us 3 times.. 1 PAT and 2 FGs missed. Penalties plagued both teams.

T'was a good game but I think A&M actually was the better team today. Unfortunately a couple of costly errors and a random td pass from a horrible LSU qb were the difference.

A&M still ranked in the top 25... #22. And deservedly so. Only losses are to the #2 and #6 teams in the nation; losses that were very close and could/should have been wins. By far the toughest test will be vs Bama

I mean I'm so far away from SEC regions, so I never really care about the news update over there.

But when I read the story about him yesterday, I was like he must be goddamn stupid to pull this shit again. Seriously.
