LSU only has to worry if they lose 2.. I don't see how anyone can justify putting a 1 loss bama/oregon in the MNC over LSU who beat both teams!

LSU should win out though.. I think LSU's D will contain Wilson (Ark) and will score points on the Arkansas defense. UGA/USCe aren't great teams.

UGA could be the spoiler in the SEC championship game. Will they knock LSU out of the NC game is anyone's guess.

The biggest test for my Cardinal is this weekend in Palo Alto. I can only hope a convincing win is enough to overtake Bama but we still have the resurgent Bruins in the PAC-12 championship game IF we win out.

OU is done with Broyle's shredded ACL. The OSU-KSU game was exhilarating, I stopped watching the LSU game by halftime.

Our defense has improved since Boise, but it's still anyone's guess as to if we are a good team or not. Seven straight, but against some bottom-feeder opposition. Not our fault the teams suck, but it is what it is. Saturday will be our best opponent since SCAR.

Are we as good a football team as LSU? No. But I'm just happy if we get the chance.

That's all I can hope for with Stanford. I need to ride Luck's success for as long as he dons the Cardinal uniform.

For Boise or Stanford to get into the NCG, ok state has to fall. Oklahoma is really the only thing standing in their way. Don't see them losing to oklahoma

Stanford vs Oregon is gonna be an awesome game, definitely the game of the week. I think this will be Stanford's toughest test all season..

College Gameday crew at Stanford game 2 out of the last 3 Saturdays, I never would have imagined that in my wildest dreams. Ducks will be our toughest competition of this season.

that's certainly not what i was trying to say, but it's as if he tried to hide this thing from going public or something. i don't know.

i'm just sad that he didn't turn this shit into police back in 2002.

yeah he did what he had to do legally which was to report it to the superior. but did he really have superior?

Joe Pa is Penn State and Penn State is Joe Pa. He should have solved this shit with police back when he first heard about this.

GJ testimony and his statement this week are conflicting as to what the GA told him. If anything, the GA should have called the police right then and there if he saw it, but he was the only witness.

Yes. I don't understand that either. Why the hell didn't he call the police right away? This is just too disturbing.

I have a feeling that there are more victims out there who just don't want to say it out.. so sad.

Whole story is goofballs. There was a parent that Sandusky admitted to in 1998 and there were never any charges filed.

The fuck?

Joe should step down now.

As well as a top to bottom cleaning house should occur.

...and yes, that includes the school president.

Disgusting, disturbing....cover-up on so many levels.

If the authorities had done their job in 1998 when it was first reported, none of this would be going on right now. Paterno trusted his superiors would report the abuse to the police when he learned about it in 2002. Since they didn't, everyone wants to blame Paterno for a lapse in judgment. He didn't witness the abuse, a graduate assistant and a janitor did. Why isn't anyone saying they should be blamed for not reporting it to the authorities?

We love to trash our achievers. The more they have achieved the better the trashing and anger. Joe, an 84 year old man, followed the law and is being crucified because he didn't do "more". Is it any wonder our society is sliding down hill? We certainly have grown a culture of "Don't succeed here or we'll do our best to make you pay for it".

Paterno: "With the benefit of hindsight," I wish I had done more."
That statement in and of itself shows you that Joe and all of the rest of the bastards there should be fired...immediately.

I wish I had done more?!?!!? For crying out load, Joe....you knew 10 year old boys were being raped in your facilities showers, by one of your guys!!!!!!!

Sick!!!!!

Those authorities need to be investigated as well for sure. How can they just dismiss the case?

And think about it, you know your friend did this fucking horrible thing. Would you just let him run away with it? The guy raped 10 years old boy.

Would you really just tell it to your superior and forget about it? Is it that simple? Wouldn't you be curious what the fuck happened to your friend after you report it the superior and nothing really happened?

Would you really just welcome him like nothing's happened? like "oh hey, you are back! welcome."

Really?

And what are you saying with we like trashing the achievers? what the hell does that have to do with this case?

People have always wanted to trash Paterno because he ran a clean program for over 50 years. They've always wanted to knock him down for his achievements. He's done more for the university, its students and student athletes and college football than anyone in our lifetime. It really bothers me to think people can call for his firing when they clearly know very little about the man.

This episode is so appalling.

And the nerve of JoePa to say "At this moment the Board of Trustees should not spend a single minute discussing my status..."

Wow, just wow.

I'm not one of those people.

My opinion is purely based on this incident alone.

The only thing I know of Penn State is that we blasted them in the Rose Bowl couple years ago.

Yeah, I remember that Rose bowl all too well. I'd much rather relive that game than deal with the shame this horrific crime has brought to the university.

Just to let you know, I'm really not hating on the school itself. I actually don't know anything about school.

I'm just so disgustingly shocked how this thing just blew up, and the content of this whole thing just saddens me A LOT.

Hope whoever needs to get punished will be properly punished SOON. We'll see how it plays out.

Sad stuff...

If Paterno quit two years ago his legacy wouldnt be ruined as bad as it is going to be now.
I expect penn state athletics to take a huge downturn for a good while with all this

Relax, Ramblings has made jokes about worse cases. So you usually make fun of sexual abuse cases against children, but for some reason this case is different? That makes no sense. Maybe in the future you should stop being a hypocrite and learn to show respect for all sexual abuse cases against children and never make fun of one again.

I should have made it more clear. I usually make fun of the stuff that's pretty heavy and whatnot, but I never make fun of stuff that are related to pedophiles... it just seems so wrong.

I agree. My intent wasn't to offend anybody, but I thought Ramblings would get a chuckle out of that pic.
