Is it against NCAA rules to practice (like basketball already does) against other teams in football.
With the PAC 12 potent offense and a SEC closing defense, it would be cool during the summer if, say 'Bama and Oregon could do a mini-camp for two weeks and find a few ideas.
On the other hand, maybe everything can be done on tape.

Oregon, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State all lose.
Looks like the "rematch" is all but in the bag now. The only way that this won't happen is if Auburn beats Alabama next week.

I dont think Bama is going to be in the Title game. OKst can still make it if they finish off their season with W's. And if not them, then VT will be in it, if they win out.

Anyway, it's great to see Barkley pull off a huge win to cap his career. I think he should just go to NFL after this season. As much as I want him to come back to lead us to a great season next year, he should take the opportunity and go to NFL. He should be a top-10 pick for sure.

Our defense got tired. But they did play very well for the most part of the game. Actually, we played pretty damn well on all phases of the games.

While I think Barkley will enter the draft next season, I certainly hope he doesn't. One more season at USC can be beneficial for him, it will give him some more time to perfect his QB skills and leadership qualities. Plus if he stays another season, he has the potential of drafting higher in 2013 (provided he doesn't get hurt or completely bomb on his stats). I guess we'll just have to wait and see what his decision will be.

No way OSU deserves to go over Alabama now. Loss against the top team versus a 21-point road dog.
Only way we don't get an all SEC final now is that we shock the world against the West winner.

I can only see two ways that there will not be a rematch in the NC game.
#1. Auburn beats Alabama
#2. Georgia beats LSU/Bama (if Arkanansanasas beats LSU, they're up to #2 in the country and Bama to #1)
The other spot would be filled by Stanford or Oklahoma State

If Arkansas loses next weekend they are out of the BCS picture. They wont allow a rematch between Bama and LSU at all. It was a close game but so was Michigan and OSU in 06. Remember how everyone claimed they were the two best teams by a large margin.
Remember what happened?
The last time that rematch happened was when Florida won in 96. I can say we got lucky for our first two titles but because of us they wont let these rematches happen.

Id also rather see the title game between two teams that havent played each other yet. I wouldnt mind a rematch if there was a tournament system in place but until then the regular season is the tournament for the most part

OSU/UM was the last game of the season for those two. It wasn't for LSU/Bama. The math supports it this time.
But hey, if this gets everyone to hate the BCS enough to kill it, good. If UGA gets a shitload of fans for just one day, good.

i dont really see there being much of an argument unless bama beats us 9-6 in overtime...
there is also a possibility of a split NC as well if you take a look at cochese's article... it supports your question of the whole 1-1 series witht them.
the only way its a lose lose for LSU is IF we lose...
if we win, we dont have shit to worry about.... so i say bring bama on, and beat them if you want the title...
we've had to win all season to be where we are.. JUST KEEP WINNING.

Hopefully NCAA will eventually put the playoff system to get rid of all these nonsense guessing game and shitting on other teams without really playing directly against them. It 'looks' like LSU and Bama are the best teams in the country right now according to the BCS ranking system, but I can't really say they are actually the legitimate best teams in the country without really playing other conference champions. Sure, some teams lost to its in-conference foes, but maybe those in-conference foes are better than anyone had expected.

the last 5 straight national championships belonging to the SEC should've put that argument to rest already. 
and when i referred to VT getting shat on in the NC scenario.. it was not without body..
VT lost one game this year... and they lost it to the ONLY team they played that would be considered of high quality.. they also had several close games against teams who were jokes.

Blah blah blah every year you spew the same sh-t about how great the SEC is. What we are saying is that we don't want to see a boring ass defensive sleeper settled by field goals. I hope Bama and Arkansas lose so at least my Cardinal or VT have a shot at the NC. It's nice to get some new blood injected into the BCS picture

cursed are the teams that play defense... and if people think these two teams play again to a score of 9-6 you havent watched the rest of their games throughout the season...
they both put up "pac-12" type of scores all season long, against teams with quality defenses....
it just so happened that on november 5th, the stars fell perfect for both defenses on the field for a touchdown shutout... and i was in Tuscaloosa, nothing boring about it... great hard nosed football with big plays on both sides... just didnt cross the goal line
