Way to go boys, get all excited because you beat an unranked team by a field goal.

Can't play like that against Alabama

You still have some headlights for sale that can shine where the sun doesn't. Watch how dark it goes on the Gamecocks to keep Bama at #2.

Agreed UF looked horrible, no excuses.

Anyways, I'm watching the Alabama game, I know South Carolina defense is pretty good, but McElroy doesn't seem to be so great? I think we can keep their passing game in check. Ingram is a stud though, he scares me

USC wins!!

I was on an emotional rollercoaster at the end of that game, between the Notre Dame comeback, us thinking we won at the end, then there being one second left to do one last Irish play, and then finally getting the victory due to the incomplete pass...whew..my heart hurts after that kind of ending.

Alabama can't throw the football, and they sure won't be able to versus our secondary....I think Alabama isn't unstoppable either.

That was a frustrating loss for us. We were down 24-3 and came back, only to lose 30-34. We finished with -14 yards rushing. Inexcusable as a supposedly balanced offensive team. My hat's off to the CU team and their defense in the first half, made all the difference. Hopefully we can get a win against one of the three Big 12 South division powers we play this year.

Many are calling for him to be ostracized here in Columbus; but, what many of them fail to remember is that Troy Smith as a sophomore was only 8-4--two years later, he won the Heisman, and led what many believed to be the one of the most prolific offenses in NCAA history to the National Title game.

Honestly, I think at this point, it really comes down to coaching. He's not being coached to lead. Being down in the 4th quarter, he had a 3 and out and after he was not talked to by coaches, and he just sat on the sidelines not giving any motivation to the D or O.

Ohio State is in serious lack of offensive leadership. People forget (especially in Columbus) how young our offense (and defense) is. We lost a lot last year, especially on the offensive line. We have 1 senior, 1 junior and 2 sophomores. Lining Pryor up in the shotgun for delayed hand-offs, zone passes, etc. is setting them all up for failure. At least put him in the pistol (since they obviously don't trust him under center) so that he and the line have a quicker sense of time for the play to develop.

Turnovers (Pryor was responsible for 4 out of 5), and a complete breakdown on defense (the worst I've seen since the National Title game against Florida) was the demise of the Buckeyes today.

If they don't get the ship righted this week, I foresee a bleak future for this young Buckeye team.

They looked good until the end.

But what really killed them at the end were those dumbass personal fouls, game would have been over sooner with less drama if those didn't occur.

And the annual SC collapse begins.

If your defense can hold the number #2 team to 20 points (7 coming from an interception), your offense has to do it's part.

At this point in the season, I think the NC will be the SEC championship between Bama and Florida.

I also think that we'll have a scenario that cries for a playoff system this year moreso than ever.

To top it off, the last throw of the game bounced out of Briscoe's hands (both of them) in the end zone.

You stop the run against Bama and you will beat them..

IMO there is not 1 team this year that separates itself from the rest.. I want Boise State in the MNC so there will be cries of a playoff more so than ever.

Bama deserves #1. Too bad it can't be FL vs Bama in the championship since they will play each other for the SEC title.

Agreed no team looks dominant, for the most part though UF's secondary and linebackers=domination. Alabama will not be able to throw on us, its now just whether we can stop Ingram

Bama should be #1. Texas is overrated and in a weak conference, we'll see how the Horns stack up against Mizzou and Oklahoma State. Florida looked anemic on offense and the Trojans should send a thank you note to Clausen for not executing on the Irish's last possession. I'd love to see TCU, Boise St. or Cincinnati run the tables and get into the NC game but hell will prolly freeze over first.

And most of that came in the 2nd half.

What are your feelings about Jimbo being the HCIW? Do you think Bowden needs to retire at the end of the season?

every SEC fan knows that this year.. the SEC championship game IS the national title game.. reguardless of the game that follows.

you do away with the sec title game and 2 SEC teams playing for titles every couple years would not be out of the question.

im an LSU fan. and out of both championships in the last 6 years... i would have rathered our games against Bama, Florida, Auburn be considered the national championship... we had TWO triple overtime games in the SEC in 07! and still won the title..

not to take away from OU or OSU... but the powers in the SEC playing each other are much more exciting then our previous matchups for the title....

While down from what it was initially hyped up to be preseason, I don't think you can call the Big 12 weak.

Just curious, why do you fault Texas for playing in a "weak" conference, but root for TCU, Boise and Cinci, who definitely play in weak conferences?

I like Texas and would have preferred to see them in the NC last season instead of Oklahoma. I watched the Tech game live and if it weren't for that Crabtree TD the Horns might have been national champions.

I thought they played anemic against the Sooners, especially after Bradford was knocked out in the 1st Qtr. Then again, Florida looked anemic last weekend, ergo my choice for the Tide as the best team right now.

I guess I just like pulling for the underdog and am bitter and irate in general that college FB doesn't have a playoff system. Boise St., Cincinnati and Utah have all shown that non-BCS conference teams can do well in BCS games but it's somewhat sad that they have to run the table and then hope no other non-BCS conference team has a perfect record.

Woah rick.. LSU is easily the most overrated in the SEC.. I am not saying Auburn will win tomorrow, but if our QB Chris Todd plays good we win the game. If he plays like shit then we lose.

LSU is no where near winning the SEC this year. Les Miles is not a great coach and while Jordan Jefferson is a good QB he is at least 1 year away from being a quality SEC QB.
