Oh man, after seeing Berto, I would love to see him square up against Manny. It seems Berto is more of a striker. This is good because Manny is one also. Berto's defense isn't great so Manny might have an advantage over that. But I think Berto's uppercut and his strength will give Manny some problems

Atleast Mosley hurted mayweather twice in his fight. I doubt Mayweather will even have the balls to take on Berto.
I agree, Berto is a force to be reckoned with, and those performances are amazing to watch, but keep in mind, all of his opponents to date are all C class fighters, maybe collazo and forbes were B class gate keepers who gave him a little trouble. Pacman has obliterated more than a handful of "A" class fighters and champions, ending the careers and basically destroying them in one sided affairs. As has Marquez, who has fought a few B and A class fighters. Mosley has fought everybody, but his performances against Mora and Mayweather have made me think he has no chance against Pac, and you are only as good as your last performance, so. He got lucky against Margarito who was completely distracted and taken out of the fight with the whole hand wrap scandal.

So Berto is good, but not proven against true champions or A class level fighters like JMM.

BTW, Roach would create a game plan to dismantle Berto's predictable style, just watching the best of berto clip, I can see freddy smiling the whole time.

November 2010 has been one of the most exciting months in boxing that i can remember in a long time, now it's time for Bradley and Alexander to settle the score while Kahn and Maidana face off. I'm calling bradley to beat Devon in a snoozefest, and Kahn to late round TKO Maidana.

I think I know what you mean. From my amateur point of view, Berto seems to have some defensive flaws.

Out of all these I would rather watch PAC vs Berto, even tho Berto is relatively almost unknown outside the boxing world, in addition Berto has been fighting B and C class fighters. I remember earlier this year if it wasn't for the disaster in Haiti, his biggest fight was Mosley. I thought that would've been worth it.

I doubt a Marquez fight will push through due to so many variables, he only attracted less than 5000 people in his last fight, his demands are crazy even though he's the one doing the chasing. A couple years ago they offered him close to a million for a rematch with PAC only to turn it down and fight a lesser known Chris John in Indonesia for $50K, Marquez looked bad vs Mayweather. IMO Marquez should work his way up to get to PAC. Basically JMM has nothing to offer even though he gave PAC a hell of troubles with his style but at this point with the way PAC is, I doubt this fight will last under 5 rounds.

A Mosley fight will yield the most $$$, but I don't think it would be as competitive as a JMM fight. Mosley is too old, almost 40yrs old...the "washed up fighter" excuse will be heard again.

Sergio is too big, I don't think PAC will be willing to move up that high in weight. He had troubles making 147 on his fight with Margarito. I also don't think he's willing to risk that much for a lower reward.

I'd say he's better off with Berto or Mayweather.

Mayweather is almost 99% out of the question at this point.

Berto has already been evaluated by bob Arum and Top Rank to be too unknown.

Marquez's has all the points you mentioned going against him, but the biggest issue holding a 3rd fight back is Golden Boy Promotions Schaefer and Oscar De La Hoya. Top Rank and GBP are bitter rivals and reall hate eachother, always slinging insults back and forth. Thats the reason Mosley left Golden Boy, and look what it's landing him, the biggest fight of his carreer!

From an enthusiasts POV, I like Marquez and Berto, but from a finacial POV, Mosely is the biggest draw among the general public who don't follow boxing like us. They just hear two names and say, yeah, i'll order that PPV.

I think Pac will get more buy with Berto then with Clottey. Plus Berto is undefeated and a welterweight champ. That sounds good to advertise.

Pac is red hot right now, some people will just buy PPV because its Pac, and Pac will never give you are boring fight.
I dont think people want to see Pac destroy the fighters that Mayweather already beaten with a decision.
No disrespect to Marquez, cause he is a great champion and on the top 5 pound for pound list. But he dont belong in the welterweight division. Excused my pun, but he's no Manny Paquaio. If Marquez do fight Manny, I predict that he wont make it pass the 5th round.

Mosley is getting old, he can do good in the 1st few rounds like he did against Mayweather. He even rocked Mayweather twice. But his age got the best of him and got tired through the later rounds.

until then, we will have to wait.

Only $50 K, thats very little. I remember during his weighin with Mayweather. Mayweather step on the scale and was over the weight limit. But Mayweather offer Marquez $600,000 to let the fight go on, and for $600,000 Marquez agree.
I see why Marquez is really pushing for this fight, win or lose, he will win big in the money column. lol

Oh god.... I hope Pac retires Mosley for good. but being as nice guy Pac is, he will go easy on Mosley when he knows Mosley is getting seriously hurt.

I said that about Margarito, garbage fight, but I found myself interested as the fight came around and actually very entertained when it was unfolding. Burt Sugar said it best, Pacman is so hot right now, he'd sell a million PPVs even if he fought me or you.

Hmmm idk guys .. this fight with mosely in my eyes is the most dangerous fight for pac. mosely also got the speed and power to pull the upset. lets just hope pac trains harder for this fight with no distractions

Roach is trying to get Pac in his Wild Card gym in hollywood early this time. After the hurricane almost stranded them vs clottey, and the political run around vs Marg, Roach is trying to make sure nothing gets in the way of training from now.

Rumors of Floyd fighting a "C" class fighter named Paul Spadafora whom he sparred with 10 years ago and got bested. I believe the clips are on Youtube...

Yeah, he needs a tune up, but at this point, he needs someone who will put up a fight, not some tomato can.

I think it was worst than the Clottey fight...but not really blaming Mosley since both fighters had so much respect/sportsmanship for each other. I liked how there was no trash talking in press conferences leading to the fight. But I still wanted Mosley to at least exchange or at least slugged it out for 2-3 rounds. But you know what is even sadder after seeing how the Manny vs Shane fight was? A fight with Mayweather would be much much much more boring fight.

I'm pretty sure hardcore boxing fans already knew Floyd is ducking pack and whoever "high risk-low reward" fight was presented infront of him....but damn..he does it again. If this fight does get finalized I wonder how much over the contracted weight will he come in at.

I agree, Mayweather would be running away all night like a chicken running around without its head.

Mayweather vs Pacman will be more of a boring fight then shane vs Pacman.
Marquez vs Pacman will be awesome to watch. Marquez has too much mexican pride to run away from Pacman.

true.. even if he did win.. he'd still be 'misunderstood' and the American & Filipino people would still love Pacquiao.
