I think we pay our rookie quarterback here in Pittsburgh enough...

...and our second stringer, Jerome Bettis has one more touchdown pass than Eli Manning, too...he's kind short for a QB, but runs really well.....

its a nice idea to keep him, but can't realistically keep 2 expensive QBs. They're best of trading him for draft picks while they can otherwise they'd probably have to franchise him. i love the chargers, but they need to build their team for the long-run and not waste all their cap right now.

True, but Brees was the future several years ago. I along with many other people wanted him replaced. But it would not make sense to go Bengals style and dump a good QB (although Brees is 10X better then Kitna ever was) for a 2 year rookie that took no snaps.

I think they have plenty of room under the cap. We need a vet DB or maybe a top WR next year, but other then that we look pretty good right now.

I think Brees is going to be franchised...and along that way, they're going to try to deal Rivers to Arizona, Denver, or Miami...a team in need of a QB to give them more time to truly think it over.

I vote for Brees, I loved him as a college player, and this year he has all the right weapons in place and a decent defense to go along with it.

It's gonna be interesting to see who picks up Rivers... Risky for other teams being untested with a high salary, he could be a flop...

Trading Rivers would be a huge cap hit for SD, that's really not a good idea and would probably prevent them from signing other players. Brees is doing really well and SD will get some good compensation for him. The only way to can see him staying is if they go to the super bowl.

Hey, although I am happy the Steelers won, Eli Manning looked pretty good today. I think you Giants fans out there have something to look forward to!

If the Steelers can have both their defense and offense play well at the same time, they should do very very well in the playoffs. It seemed like the last few games, the defense bailed out the offense, but today the offense bailed out the defense. If they got both running up to speed at the same time, that would be very nice!

Another Sunday afternoon, another Broncos loss and a few more picks thrown by Jake the Mistake Plummer. Ho hum, to anyone that i was talking shit to earlier this year about the Broncos, i take it all back. My other team, the Seahawks, cant seem to beat anyone either. It looks as if they want to throw away the division title to the Rams and the Rams dont want it either.

What happened to Ferguson anyway? Anything broken?

As for the Eagles, they already have home field and besides maybe the Falcons, who the hell can beat them in the NFC, even without T.O?

That was a split second decision and maybe he did attempt swiping at the ball... It does really look bad, though.. I won't defend him.....

What Roy Williams does, I've noticed this many times, is he pulls by the collar from back/side and pulls the runner down, instead of tackling.. Often the runner is bent awkwardly and almost hurts themselves.. For example, Musa Smith (Ravens RB) broke his leg clean when Roy made a similar tackle and fell on the Smith's legs.. It looked very gross and shit ended his season.

If anything, this kind of shit should also be illegal, as runners area very vulnerable and prone to hurt themselves when grabbed like this.. Well, that's too far maybe... But players should be discouraged from tackling like this... I equate this to chop blocking by the linemen.

Can you say a 4 game losing streak in the NFC championship game. Roy WIlliams has ruined their season.

IF they even make it that far. Whats funny is that the NFC wild card will probably have a better record then the NFC West champ. Classic.

The Eagles could still get to, and win, in the Super Bowl, IMHO. The AFC playoff teams are gonna beat themselves up majorly (actually, they already are and it isnt even the playoffs), and the Eagles are gonna pretty much coast through the playoffs, even without T.O.

The NFC is weak - they can still advance. Even without TO they're a better team than last year in the NFC championship ... when Westbrook was out, McNabb was injured, and Kearse wasn't on the team
