i had that all replaced and my starter also went, and im still having the same problem, now im being told that i need a new clutch and pressure plate

 

what happened to warrant having all that replaced the cmc/slave cylinder? I get the clutch/pressure - as the clutch/pressure plate typically wear together at the same time - you place on the flywheel, then the clutch disks, then the pressure plate holds it all together, typically the flywheel doesn't need to get replaced - the friction comes from the clutch disk - just like brake pads they wear down after while.

all that to say - what problems were you having?

 

i mean sometimes i would have to pump the clutch to get it in first,and maybe other gears, 3rd gear pop out,and he found a whole bunch of black stuff from the clutch i guess in like the starter

Jax people. I will be molding custom boxes in my 4gTL soon. I was wondering if anyone had some I could mold from or if not when I mold mine if anyone wanted to make their own. I know a good place to get glass and resin cheap.

Hey guys, are there any good places in Jax to take my TL to for the 100k service?

That will either allow me to bring my own parts and they just do labor, or they provide parts or labor?

I've heard of Acutech down in South Florida, but was hoping to find something closer to here besides a stealership. Not really capable or DIY right now either.

you could try RPM Automotive, i had to replace my oil pan last year, i found one on ebay, and took it to them and they installed with my own parts, just charged me labor. i think it ended up being like $100 bucks....but i didn't have time to drop the j-pipe to get to the oil pan...you could always call them and check, i have only used their location on Phillips Hwy though. not sure what they would charge for labor on that...

 

Got an MDX (woo so fast) and want to meet up with fellow Acura enthusiasts around Jacksonville, Fl and I haven't really seen any at the meets (Cars and Coffee, Autobahn, Saturday night meet) just wanna get to know some other guys/gals around jax the enjoy Acura's as much as I do!

 

Do they still do that? I'm new to the page and haven't found any facebook page for acura members for Jax. I wanna try to make it to the next meet if so!

I haven't had any body work done - i know Stephen has, and I think he said he uses Universal Auto Body or something like that downtown - he's had them paint match his a-spec kits, stellar work. might try them out.

My tablet install is coming along. Should be done before any big meets. Are there any current meets at all in jax? Last one I've heard about is riverside but that may have stopped.

Yeah, typically there is a meet on Saturday nights - mostly now is at Sonic, i haven't been, but heard its being better maintained, Riverside was good, but got closed down because of some people not following the rules - with apartments so close it was only a matter of time. check out

The night meet normally occur at Sonic on Beach blvd every Saturday night, I think it starts around 8-8:30 and last past midnight. On the first Friday night of the month their is a car show called Carts and Cars at Autobahn. There is also Cars and Coffee as Boosejars said before. Look up Jacksonville Car Meets on Facebook that has everything about general car meets for everyone!

Is the meet in February just for TL owners or for everyone? Because I sadly drive an MDX so I wouldn't really fit in a TL meet

Haven't posted any pics in a while - so here are some photos, most recent changes - Varrstoen MK2's 18x10 +25, with a frosted bronze lip, and matte black faces, and earned me Acura Crew Nation Banner, painted some of the engine plastics, and removed the insulation from under the hood
