Sean - UPS showed up at 8:00? I didn't know they deliver that late. Hopefully all is going well today.

Jim - just called you. Hope all is going well for you, too...on this cold, rainy, shitty day.

All - well, my headlight swap was a bust...despite being told the lights were '04-'05, they were, in fact, '06+. After speaking with another member, I can do a rig job on them to get my ballasts to fit; however, this won't be done until after the meet (if it weren't for the meet, I'd do it next weekend). I'm still slightly ticked off, but knowing I can still make it work helps. At the end of the day, I shouldn't be surprised...shit luck like this is the story of my life.

Everybody seems to keep grabbing an old list . I promise you it's nothing personal. It is kind of comical at this point, though .

Ok I called the fox and hound and made a reservation for17-20 people for 12pm Saturday March 7th. If any more than that show up they will see what they can do. All this modding talk and the weather sucks. I heard we are supposed to get 3-5 inches of snow on Monday. I was supposed to go to Atlanta but sounds like I will be playing with the quads instead. I am glad we didn't pick this weekend for the meet. This meet is looking like the best one yet. Alex and I are looking forward to it.

^Thanks, Jon. The weather report we saw at dinner said 4-8"...I've lived here too long to say anything other than "I'll believe it when I see it".

Nic, you're insane...and I'm moving further south (well, one of these days).

Yeah, UPS sucks down here, I didn't get a chance to start Friday like a was going to, so now today is MOD DAY #2, hopefully I'll finish up today. I'm about half done, I've got the drivers side done, now I need to do the passenger side. Yeah I know I'm slow, I was a bit hungover yesterday and didn't get started till kinda late.

today is not going so well, yesterday I had a bolt strip that was holding in the STB, today my floor jack broke with it under the car, was a pain try to get it out But my new jack is pretty cool, it has LED's on the lift pad, so you can see where you are jacking it onto, kinda gimmicky, but it dies work. Wish me luck on the rest...

Well I'm done with the suspension and brakes, just bedded them in, but the pedal is awfully smooshy... Don't know how I got air in the system, but I suspect that is my issue. Any other ideas??????

I got my 400ex Honda sitting in the garage and ready to rip up the neighborhood. I am looking forward to one more snow day since the last two I was traveling out of state.

69 degrees and sunny on Saturday.......Good thing the meet wasn't this weekend. Man this weather is sick and if we get 6 inches, the city is in shutdown mode.

They may be soft first starting out, then firm up after a couple of stops.

They will also get very soft on bed-in as they start to fade.

If they are not firmer after a normal drive, you'll have to bleed/flush them.

I am flushing mine and replacing with high temp (Amsoil) brake fluid and plan to do that before bedding the new brakes (which I finally got on - ).

Yeah, they are still pretty soft, I was able to bed them in good, it just took the peddle to the floor, I had darn sparks flying out (do it at night, good stuff!!) past the side windows... I'm going to try and bleed them/flush them tomorrow.

It sounds like something is up with your brakes. I had to bed mine in and it was hard to stop due to the rotors and brake pads with the coating. You say you are getting a soft pedal that is going to the floor? Sparks? You could see sparks coming from your wheel wells while you were driving? Something isn't right at all. Are the two pins pushed in all the way and are the clip on top holding them in right? If you didn't open the lines, then I would say, you don't have air in the lines.

You need to bed the brakes in 20 times total (2/ 10 passes) and after that, the brakes will still feel weak. Over time they will get better but yours sounds very odd to me.

I loved driving to work this morning, not a single dumb ass driver on the road! The roads were icy but more importantly empty It seemed like the entire city of Charlotte was shut down. Anyone else working today?
