Beers it is then. Maybe a shot or two. Those tails would look good on my anthracite I bet.... I'll take em off your hands if you want...
I hope my shit comes in tomorrow. It's gonna take a long ass time to try and get it all installed this weekend, especially by myself. Anyone want to come down on Sat afternoon or Sunday and put in a full suspension and brakes????? and if it don't get here till Monday, I may not have it done before the meet.

After we get your headlights in (or out or whatever we're doing), you going to give me a hand with my rotors, pads and brake fluid flush?
I still don't have a week-end kid-taxi schedule, so I'll have to call you mid-day Saturday.

OK. I am going to Wilmington this weekend but on my out I am going to call the Fox and Hound and make a reservation. I heard the last time it was 17 people. Please give me a final yes or no with whoever you are coming with. I am going to be 2 seats. Please post here if you are doing lunch and how many people. If more show up on that day I am sure they can try to work something out.

You're the second or third person who wants my tails. For some reason, I can't get it out of my head to get rid of these and build another set. I doubt I actually will, but if I do, I'll let you know.
I'd love to come down this weekend (especially since it's going to rain here), but I have my own installs to do. The brakes won't be bad, but the suspension is some work; an extra set of hands is very helpful. If you don't get it in this weekend, just bring it with you.

And it definitely looks like I'll be doing most, if not all, of my work on Saturday as tonight's looking like it's going to go late. Not exactly what I want seeing how I have stuff I want/need to do tomorrow. Oh well, you only live once.
As for the weather, I checked it last night, as well, and noticed they were calling for a perfect day next Saturday. I don't trust the forecast that far out, but it's a good sign/start.

I've done the 2G before though and those are basically the same as the 3G base.

Changing rotors and pads is the same for any set up, flushing the fluid, too. Sure, there are nuances specific to each (number of bleeder valves, bleed order, bolt locations, etc.), but the general concepts are the same.

You're right about the Rotor change and fluid flush.
Regardless, we'll throw 'em in and I'll show you what I know from changing out the '02 rotors and pads and the '07 Fronts. You won't have any problem when you get to yours.
BTW - I've got a TON of OE Molykote M77 Brake pad grease if you need it.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I know it's used for something, but specifically I have no idea. I'm trying to push off the brake job until the end of the year, so I haven't really read up in the manual how to do it yet (although I did scim it when I looked up how to to the flush...sad, but I found it interesting reading).

Brembo pads vs base pads are pretty different - neither is hard, just not the same methods. You can't see a Brembo pad change and adapt to a base pad change.

How different are the brembos? I'm gonna try to do mine tonight or tomorrow. It's fukn 3pm, my parts have been out for delivery since 630 AM. Man I hate UPS around here. Oh yeah what type of Brake pad grease should I use on my Brembos? The stuff that comes with the rotora Pads???

Brembo's are super easy.
- Knock the 2 pins out;
- Remove the spring clip;
- Use a flat head screw driver aginast the old pads to compress the pistons
- Remove the old pads
- Transfer the shims and grease the new pads/shim
- Insert the new pads
- Replace the spring clip and pins.
If you're fast 10 - 15 mins from the time you get the wheel off - I think I could almost do it as fast as I typed the list. If you're like me (slow and cleans everything) maybe 30 mins a side.
I'd use the grease that comes with the pads.

Its goes between the pad and the shim and then between the inner shim and the outer shim.
