I mean...it's cool, a big part of it is that I just can't stand the paperwork fest everything seems to be turning into.
When I started it was mostly about being super technical and doing a lot of field implementation. Now it's devolving into "make all the metrics look good and keep tickets updated," while this other offshore team does all the actual technical work.

I'm a FE/CSR for a Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) company. We sell analytic data platforms, applications, and related services. Our products are meant to consolidate data from different sources and make the data available for analysis.
We're basically a premier solution among the likes of Oracle, IBM, Netezza, and recently HP, and we're basically the first company ever to use a relational database (RDBMS) model. I personally believe we blow away most of our competitors, as I've seen it first hand, but that's another story for another day.
Specifically what I do is proactive operational support for our customers, as well as break/fix, maintenance, etc...

^^^ well a simple EDW solution just helps by consolidating data....but a bigger company will take all that system and store it on their DB (after doing some ETL) and the client will query that system....
I used to work in a system like that and I grew very fond of Teradata until I was introduced to Sybase....
but overall I think Oracle is the most versatile DB system....

Damn everyone hating their job right now. I actually like my job except for this work that has gotten pushed back the past two weekends and has now caused my ski trip to be cancelled.

We shall find out if I am that way too. I have only been at mine for a little under 2 years so I might be the same. I will let you know in a year or two.
I used to have snow tires. I sold them back in October though. The thing they were attached to was taking up too much space.

Not really something I wanted as much as was needed really. The F plus summer high performance tires would be a disaster on trips home to PA in the winter months.
All sorts of rubbers are expensive but necessary
Weather update here in Raleigh: 50 degrees outside with 50% chance of snow. Not even raining yet and classes are cancelled from 5pm today till 10am tomorrow. Kinda ridiculous but I don't mind since that means no 8am class for me

I always been lurking on cl to find tires. I probably have over like 10+ tire worth of 18" a pair of 17" and full set of 16" in the garage. My rule is when u don't need them there always there, but when u need them u can never find any.

This place is awesome so much different than UNC Wilmington and I love it.
Is that the hotdog place? I think I ate there once after a baseball tournament I was in a while ago.
HOLY FAWK 9 SETS?!?!? Why would anyone need 9 sets of the same wheel??

when your racing it so much easier to change rims than to drive slower lol. plus racing is a very expensive sport to get into no matter what size from go karts to full fledged drift cars it will nickle and dime you to death. i have friends that have 3-5 set of rims and they say that still not enough to go hard all day. another factor are what tires you gonna be running and that a whole new ball park of factors.
it awesome because he actually has 9 set of some light racing wheels. most of my friends has like xxr, rota, mb racing, maybe a few set of rpf1 or mustang rep wheels.
is the snoopy place your talking about eric look like a gas station? i think i pass that place a couple of time when i worked up in Raleigh.

I hate dealerships.
Theres a car for sale somewhat locally that I like. I sent them an email asking what the price was since it wasn't listed. They responded with:
"Please give me a call so that we may set up a time to view, test drive and take your new car home with you!"
NO! Answer the fucking question, how much is it listed for?? That's kind of an important piece of information that needs to be known when making a purchase. :annoyed
