I hate the cold . You have no idea how hard I tried to get a job in south Florida when I was looking. I can't stand the winter here.
And how is warm afternoon hard to plan? I don't understand how anyone could want anything else. Who likes getting up early and going out in the cold? Ok, I know most of y'all like the cold, but getting up early? Really?

Yeah the cold doesn't bother me and I love snow for that matter so yeah lol. Early? I get up for work at 5:15am. Getting up to be at cars and coffee by 8am means not getting up any earlier than 7:15 which is like sleeping in for me anymore. I feel more tired getting up after 9 anymore than if I would just get up earlier.

I've been getting up at the same time for thirteen years, and I've never "gotten used to it" as everyone claims you do. My internal clock likes to get up between 10 and 11, and that's that. Any time before that and I feel like shit, regardless of when I go to bed. I suffer five days a week; I do my best to avoid it the other two.

hey throw me a offer, to me everything forsale for the right price. lol i saw a good deal on a kimber 1911 and felt like them guy who has something nice but see something even nicer roll by. honestly i love how this feel, and the weight compared to my springfield xdm 9mm. i now know why 1911 are regarded as one of the best pistol platform ever.

The Ruger is just a very solid, reliable 1911 platform. I'd say keep it man, especially since it was a Christmas gift! No idea how much experience you have with 1911s, but if you haven't shot one before GO DO IT. You won't ever want to be rid of it lol.
10th Gear
i probably will, but if anybody ever throw me a good offer it on the chopping block. i have shot a 1911, it was a kimber raptor pro, and with even my novice shooting skills, i got a grouping of 3" at 20 yards. just point and shoot was very simple and recoil felt better than my xdm 9mm.

So I've been flirting with the idea of doing ASM rear overfenders for a look very much like this (Just sans-wing for now). Thoughts?

I dare you.

I'm very seriously considering it. The overfenders aren't that expensive, they can be painted off the car, and other than that it's basically cutting the fenders, welding the inner seam, and then making sure a good sealing primer is on that seam. Then you just rivet them on.
This is more what it'd look like, without hardtop and wing. It's the same car actually:

The other thing I'm considering is an all-metal rear pull. Haven't decided yet...

Sorry Evan, I don't like them

You don't have to apologize lol, people are allowed to have different opinions. All I know is, I need to do something in the rear. I'm pretty tired of having to run 4.5 degrees of camber and zero toe to clear. Might end up being overfenders, might end up being some all-custom metalwork like my front fenders.

Say what you want...I really like the Rocket Bunny stuff. I know at this point it's been done on about 1500 high profile builds, but it's just cause they do great stuff.
Just my opinion anyway.

Whats up with RDX owners?

If you do rear overfenders, you need to do front overfenders

I hope to see some of yous guys on Saturday...stay warm though we're supposedly running into the coldest weather since 2004. Also I picked up a new personal camera instead of having to rely on my work camera. Its a Fujifilm S8200 and I really like it. Its almost as good as my Canon work camera except I cant attach different lenses. Cant wait to see how it does Saturday after Ive had time to mess around with it.
I did some test shots on the first and they came out pretty good, but like I said, just gotta read up on this thing and learn.

I contacted the guy running the page to make sure he still had my information to attend, but he didn't reply when I asked if the meet was happening this week.

I leave sunday for school so I couldn't meet up then.. I'm getting anxious about the new school… Even more worried about leaving my freshly fixed and painted car at home with a 16 year old brother who loves to drive it.

Aired Out TLS
It was pretty cold at 6am this morning. My girl accidently locked herself
out her car while warming it up, because the door was frozen at drivers side from left over water in the door jams and the cold temp.
So she went to passengers side with key and the shit locked itself. So I had to break in with the old coat hanger trick, shit took me a dam hour. But I got it.
Tip of the day, lube up your door jams with some WD40 or grease for the cold seasons guys.
