this just in: got my car, but the header and cat need to be replace. insurance is going to order parts and i'll bring my car back to the shop when they arrive. i hope my dyno numbers aren't affected too much

Do you have headers or are they OEM? If OEM, it's a perfect time to upgrade...

yes. i had an exhaust rattle and they first said it was from the greddy unit rubbing against the heat sheild. of course i said it wasn't, but they bent the sheild for better clearance and the rattle still persisted.

then, they said it was hitting/vibrating abainst my rsb so they ordered a new one. that actually helped a bit, but still a rattle. from the start i told em to check the cat, but they said it couldn't be it. after all this time, i still have the rattle, but they've finally just agreed to replace the header and cat and be done with it.

next week, after all services are complete, my ins is paying for acura to do a full inspection. hopefully this will be the end of it.

and the saga continues ...

just got back from the meet and it was blistering hot! really, it was quite unbearable. i hit 186hp on the dyno, not bad considering it was 98F, i need a new header/cat, and i still don't have the reflash yet. everybody was commenting how nice the exhaust note was!

...just got back from the meet, luckily i'm still alive and didn't die of heat exhaustion or dehydration. I drank 1 code red, 1 mountain dew, 1 monster energy drink, and two waters. Vinny, thanks for lookin out on that water, i owe you one.

The turnout at the meet was very impressive, with lots of good looking hondas. I think as far as acuras go, there were 4 TLs, 3 TSXs, and 1 CL.

Chris with the NBP 6mt put down 256whp! Amazing for 98 degree temps.

There was a 350z with like plenium space, intake and JWT exhaust that made 235 HP, and a Civic with Integra type-R motor than made 198. However, a newer Civic Si most have made more than that, as I heard it took a plaque home...

Next big meet is hosted by ImportsNC.com and is in Wilmington if anyone is interested in going, as I am.

tell me about it, i have a serious farmer's tan from wearing the wife beater on sun to the meet. actually, i'm quite red and burnt. i look like chief blackhawk or geronimo lol. i didn't realize how tired and exhausted i was from this weekend til i got home and downed a 48oz slurpee and then thought about going back for another!

I wanted to, but it was too early for me...had things to do...plus it was too hot. Also, Saturdays are better for me. I wasn't free until around 3:00 on Sunday, and I chose to stay in the AC and play GTA. I chose wisely.
