That sucks Ryan, hopefully you can save the rims and the car. It looks like the weather is going to be great and a little on the cool side towards the night so bring some warmer clothes.

The park has four main parking lots. As you enter the park go past the first left and turn left at the next turn. Go down past the lake on the right and there is a parking lot on the right that we can meet up in or go straight and there is another one at the end of that road. If someone gets there early to scope it out and it looks like a good spot then stay. I hope it's not to confusing. It is a small park and you will find each other.

Sorry this is a little off topic, but is there someone in the Raleigh/Durham area that could help me out with some brake work this weekend (change pads and bleed brakes)? I'm trying to do some basic maintenance myself, but have never messed with the brakes and would definitely like some help. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, I know you guys are lazy and aren't checking the rest of the Meets forum for meet info since this it stickied, so don't be shy...check this out for next weekend.

Speedstreet

Nothing formal, just seeing if anybody's going.

A couple of other things: 1) Since no one's coming through with the driveway and water, the car will be filthy on Saturday. For what it's worth, I'll be washing it Sunday. 2) I dug my cooler out last night...it's smaller than I remembered...definitely a personal job...12 cans, no problem; 12 bottles, a little iffy.

^Your car should be clean coming from the body shop. Yeah, the even/odd thing sucks. They could've at least done it the other way so I could wash on Saturday (my prefered car wash day). I refuse to use the self wash places now that I can do it properly at my house, but when I can do it so inconvenient.

true, my car may be clean coming from the shop, but it needs a wax like no other. basically, my ride hasn't been waxed for 6 months! figure freezing conditions, plenty of road trips, rain, sun, and plenty of dust/dirt from the shop assaulting my paint job. i'm gonna need a quick fix, at least

Just was the car on Saturday. I have an even number house and will be washing it on Saturday. Unless you have really shitty neighbors, I wouldn't worry about doing it one Saturday.

Worse...I live on the corner of a semi-busy road and a main artery into the neighborhood...who knows what kind of not-minding-their-own-business person will drive by. And I have environmental wackos throughout the neighborhood, from ones with natural yards to people who stop and ask me if I'm replacing trees/bushes when I take ones out . Yeah, I'd be reported in ten minutes . Yet another reason I want to move.

Oh, and your dragon run sounds tempting, but I still have one more wheel to strip (it's much more work than I anticipated...I always underestimate work) and I have yet to play GTA on a weekend since it came out , and I am really not happy about that. Besides, my crappy tires would take all of the fun out of it (ok, not all of it, but enough).

cltypeSLOW - where abouts are you moving to ("where abouts"...I don't even know what to say)?
this neighboorhood on the southish side of town called midwood. i think its off independence street?

Thanks to the guys that were able to make it out to the meet. Not sure what happened to the 7 others who were on the list who didn't show. Eric, Jack, Vinny, come back over the house on a warmer day so you can enjoy the pool. Jim (Bearcat) you also need to come out and chill with use. It wasn't the same without you. Glad everyone had a good time. Bearcat, we took your CAI and mounted it onto my tractor. I am mowing the lawn in record time now!!!! lol....when are we installing that badboy? You are loosing money on gas without it.

John, thanks for organizing and hosting this meet. The weather couldn't have been better...i think it ranked in the top 5 nicest days of 2008. The burgers and hot dogs with crinkle fries were a hit. The pool bar was impressive and job well done for completing it. Your son is lucky to have a father as yourself!

^^^ Thanks Eric, you and your girlfriend are welcome over any time. My son really took a liking to you and your girlfriend. He should have some more car news for you when he see's you next. Duh..........(the new yes)...lol....don't know where he comes up with these things.

04DCTL....Thanks for coming over but I didn't think I needed to tell you it's not cool to tear ass out of my driveway and threw my neighborhood. I think you were lucky my neighborhood cop wasn't home. He would have nailed your ass in a second. In the future, don't drive like an asshole out of someones hood. I have to live here and hear it from the neighbors, not you. Common sense HUH??? I thought so but I guess I was wrong......The speed limit is 25 not 45.

We are up for it that weekend. I am turning 33 on the 31st and I am having some people over that day so it works for me. Erik, Jack, Jim see if you can also show up. My parents are coming out as well as a couple friends for a little party in the sun and some good food. Hopefully you can make it. Next weekend is also a good weekend to role out. Vinny, I know you are busy but the other guys are welcome as always.

Hey man, we all do stupid things sometimes (and believe me this will continue for many, many years).

BUT, way to step up, accept responsibility, apologize and move on.

Vinny, I didn't know you were a cigar afficiando. I just burned the last couple of Cohiba's (Panetella's) I picked up in Mexico a few weeks ago.

I'd would've saved one for you.
