No porter review...all still sitting in the boxes on my counter. They aren't in the way, so I've just left them. I had planned to chill them over night and crack them tomorrow.

I did pass the Troegs along, though. I reiterated that yours were only available in PA and that she owes you an equivalent, not some crap you can get at the store.
Ok sounds good I can be there between 4 and 415 so sounds like a plan.

Damn you on no porter review. I am going to have to come still one it seems if I want a review.

Hopefully you were kind when stating that cause I don't want to sound like a dick lol.

So which is quicker?

THe first one with sc, jpipe, exhaust, with driver only.

Or the second one with sc, exhaust, intercooler, improper tune, AND a passenger.

?!?!

I'll go out on a limb...it's good

She asked about the availability, so I answered...and reminded her that the ones she gave were easily bought at HT. She laughed . I'll get her to get something useful eventually...it might just not be until she goes back to Wisconsin.

Both fail because they're missing necessary parts and a proper tune

Well since I cant see your speedo I can't tell how quickly it jumps. Also your car could just be faster due to the more than 100lbs of weight savings you have from having a gutted interior. I bet actually it is probably 200lbs+ of savings. However that said if you dynoed both cars I bet I would be my money that he makes more power.

Saying your car is faster means nothing if your car is built half accessed and the driver doesn't care that it is.

The first one has much closer to a proper tune since the Comptech charger plugin is based on the thought that the owner will have intake and exhaust.

Where as Eric has an intercooler, a 3in exhuast, a factory restrictive jpipe, with cat deletes causing all sorts of crazy fluctuating air pressures that the little plugin box definitely was not tuned for. The intercooler alone is the main reason it needs a tune. I still stand by my statement that if you dyno the car with the intercooler and then without it will make more power without in its current state.

Both of the pulls were rolling in 1st. It could be the weight reduction alone doing all the work, or the combination of that and the fact that it's intercooled.

When Tyler boasts out...OMFG, that means we have gone all the way through 4th gear at that point.

No. No one is dumb enough as me to throw away their money in a stupid investment such as a comptech supercharger for their TL.

Yeah ok well with the proper gauges and monitoring along with a professional tune the J series will not blow up. You can argue that all you want but it is the truth.

'do it right the first time TSX guy' will start wrenching on the TSX again as soon as all the parts come in to do the job right. Go big or go home the first time even if it means taking a little longer to do it. When my TSX comes back out it should even smoke the TL Yes you read that correctly

Correction it is 100% because of weight reduction. Other TL will definitely make more power than yours.

I feel like no one answered the simple question as to which TL is quicker?!

It doesn't really matter how much power each one makes. Which TL out of the two videos appears to be quicker?!

You actually did it wrong. Just like I did. We put superchargers on 5ATs like little pansies hehehehe.

So you're saying that your TSX is going to be faster than your IS-F!? Because my TL is faster than your IS-F, so in order for your TSX to SMOKE my TL would mean that little bitch is gonna be super modified. Damn i can't wait to see this!

yeah well 2012 is right around the corner. Which happens to be the end of this era as we know it. So you better go ahead and hurry that process up. It's already been a whole year and no results.

Tyler screaming like a little girl in the passenger seat doesn't make a car faster. And cars can't SEEM faster; they either are or they aren't. Line 'em up or STFU.

You have so lost your way. TM > BB, all day. And that's just comparing the chicken tenders, which isn't why you'd go to either place. Quit f-n around...show up at TM and fix the TL. Neither of these is a hard concept to grasp.

I think i might start going to boardwalk billies EVERY thursday from here on out. Our check was half the amount that we've been spending at tacomac.

As for fixing the TL...it's good. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Well apparently someone got the wrong idea from the postings in this thread last night

Pretty sure those involved in the conversation above know I do not really believe Eric's car is half assed. The car is pretty amazing. Just trying to push him to make it insane like I know he can

You could go to Vinnie's and walk out with a bill that's half of BB's...and their chicken tenders are very good

Whatever, man. I'm just trying to do for you what you've done for so many people on this forum. I remember how you used to talk about the TL, the plans you had. And here you are, so close. Like Jason said, just trying to get you there.

You used to have such passion for working on the TL and that has disappeared. I understand a lot of that went to LEGOs but it doesn't mean you have to give up on your first one either. Just saying

On Dream Weaver #2...it's probably the best wheat beer I've ever had. Still has that crappy wheat beer taste; it's just minimal. Pouring it per the instructions helps. I'll get through them.

1) I have a set of aftermarket wheels for my car.

2) I see what you're doing, but it's apples and oranges. Nice try, though.

Also, since it's obvious you don't care, I was letting it go. You should do the same.
