Hi guys!

I apologize for missing this one, I called Nate to tell him that I wouldn't be able to make it. I had to take my dad to the hospital for an elevated heart rate, Doc said he was a step away from a stroke. As if that wasn't bad enough, my dad takes care of my mom administering her feedings and medicine thru a tube which I now have to do while he's in the hospital.

 

yikes!!! Norm how's your dad doing now? I hope he's alright!!

Thanks Eric! They're keeping my dad for observation, he seemed fine when I left the hospital.

My mom has been tube fed for 3 years now, she lost the capacity to swallow when she had a stroke in 2006. I pretty much can't leave her side as I have to administer her feedings every two hours. Other than that, she's actually doing good!

 

Just wondering... but does your mom still live at home, or at the hospital?
Glad she's doing well though!

 

She came home about 8 months ago, she was in the sub acute section for about 2 1/2 years!
