How many pics can be stored on a 1g memory card?

well typically on a 1gig memory card with your ISO settings in the negative 5 range and aperture slightly left, you can store 5 MILLION pictures. But yeah, 16gig ftw.

4G memory can only hold like less than 200 pics if you take in RAW format. 16G is the best choice but pricy.

So I guess I can at least keep about 200 pics on there at a time?

I have a 2gig, and I have not run into a "max capacity" problem. What the hell do you guys take pictures of?

 

because I always take picture using RAW format which is like 15-20 MB per picture!

 

I have 2 4GB SDHC cards, also take photos in RAW format. Each file is ~5MB, then again my camera is only a 6.0 MP

I take a lot of before and after photos of my work and have yet to come across capacity issues. Just checked, I have about 400 photos and still have 2.5GB left on one SD card.
