tape stuck in HU

I use a tape adapter to play music from my ipod. I actually love the thing. It blows every fm adapter ive tried right out of the water. my problem is this.

I cant get the damn tape to eject. It was working fine when I got to the store. However, on the way home I couldnt even get the stereo to switch to tape mode. Additionally, now it wont eject my tape adapter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

there is a teeny tiny hole, small enough to stick a needle in. That hole is the reset button. find a pin to use to reset your radio. when you do this, it will then ask for your stereo code, BE SURE TO HAVE THAT BEFORE YOU RESET YOUR RADIO.

The stereo code is either on the radio if you take it out or somewhere near it. Example: My code was under the coin thing, under my armrest, and finally on my radio if you flip it over.

So Im having a little trouble finding the reset hole for the stereo. I have a 98 3.2 tl with the stock stereo in case that matters.

I do have my stereo code (went through that whole ordeal about 5 years ago)

A bit more info - I can still get FM and AM radio just fine and still play what ever cds the acura gods allow me to listen to. And after playing with the stereo a bit
I can get the the the stereo to read "TA-ER" which Im guessing means tape error.

I unhooked the battery thinking the stereo might spit out the tape if it were reset but no luck.

stupid stock radio...........

sorry jwc433. I was mistaken. there is no reset hole. I was mistaken that with my aftermarket headunit.

jwc433 I don't wanna be the bearer of bad news but I think it is time to get an aftermarket radio so then you can really play your mp3's through your iPod or mp2 player that you have.

Do what I used to do in one of my Civics: hold eject and pull on the cord for the adapter. Usually pops it out. I had an adapter that stupidly had the cord coming out of the long side, for use on a home tape deck, not the short side for cars (it was 10+ years ago). Back then, it was for CD players. The interweb wasn't even invented yet. We talked to people face to face. Yahoo! was still something people yelled when happy. Our cars came out and the all-new Acura 3.2TL.

~Cheers~

I had the same problem. I did the same thing as Go90go, with light pressure pull up and out on the cord while pushing the eject button, that will work. It sometimes takes a couple of tries but you will get it out. Why do you want to take it out? Not like you are going to play some MC Hammer tape. Well maybe at your age you would play an MC Hammer tape. Good luck.
