Thanks to employee pricing and manufacturer incentives, Mrs. CLtotheTL32 (yes she has an account ) and I scored an awesome deal on a 2017 ES 350. We weren't exactly in the market for a new car, but it's quite the step up from her 2011 Elantra. Here's a brief overview of how this vehicle is equipped:
2017 ES 350 - Picked up with 17 miles
Nebula Gray Pearl/Black
Luxury Package (Heated and Ventilated Front Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Power Rear Sunshade)
Navigation System
Safety System Plus (Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Radar-Guided Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High-Beams)
Blind Spot Monitor
Intuitive Park Assist with Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Power Open/Close Trunk
Bi-LED Headlights
etc.
Only three options are missing: Mark Levinson Audio, Panoramic Moonroof, and 18-Inch Wheels, all of which that comprise the Ultra Luxury Package. This vehicle has the lowly, scum-class, Luxury Package
Honestly, the ES has never been on my radar. It's a lot of car for the money, but not exactly what I pictured myself driving out of the Lexus lineup. However, this thing rides so damn well that I'm not too concerned with the letters on the back. Plus it's my wife's primary vehicle, not mine Also for the first time, we leased. 36 Months, 15k miles per year, $0 Down. We'll be selling the Elantra privately to fund granite countertops in our house
You'll probably notice that the vehicle isn't very clean. That's because I cleaned the S2000 today instead of the ES
My own curiosity: specific reasons for choosing ES 350 vs a loaded Avalon? AFAIK both are the same platform, and supposedly Avalon has a bit more interior and cargo room (marginal). Though obviously I assume some other things may be nicer in the Lexus (road noise, interior quality, certain features/options not available on the Avalon).
I've never been in a 17 ES. Lexus did a good job with the interior. I like the lines and segmentation of the dashboard. May your skin wrinkle like your driver side seat hip bolters. Congrats!
THAT IS A ES!?!! Like holy cow! This has come SOOOOOO far from previous ES's. I'm actually legitimately shocked. Wow! What engine is this, is it the new 3.5 with 300+hp? I absolutely love the LS inspired tail lights. Really am quite surprised right now, when did this thing become so nice?
Congratulations Tyler, that thing is beautiful! I love almost every car in their lineup. I bet that thing has an amazing ride quality. You cannot beat Lexus quality.
We were test driving a IS-300 F-Sport the other week for my girlfriend .
They're a solid car for just daily driving. I know our employees have been offered a similar discount that makes them really cheap to get into as well. Congrats.
If the ES350 is still as reliable as it was back in the day, you will likely never have to do anything on that car besides oil changes and air filters and tires. The ES350 may not be a sports car, but it is reliable and maintenance free as fuck. Its what the TLX wishes it could be.

I had to google search it because I thought this was the 2017/2018 model. Turns out it's been like this for at least 2 years now. How didn't I see one before?

Yeah true, but I mean I happen to really like the ATS-V and the XTS (surprisingly). I've never owned a caddy product, I don't know if I would. That new XT5 is UGLY AF.

Tyler's is the facelifted model for this gen. as well. The next gen. is already in development and suppose to look similar to the upcoming LS, as well as have its own F-Sport variant.
Congrats to you and the wife on the Lexus. The ES is a great car that gets a bad rep for the market it caters to, but I have seen more and more younger people driving them over the last 2+ years.. A couple of years ago Lexus did a Crafted Line series ES which was basically cosmetic pkg which I thought gave it a more sporty look..
The ES is a great car, I used to have a 2000 ES300 in the stable years ago. Ran her until 280K, and sold it for $6K. Currently have a 07 GS350 RWD as my DD, and it's still great. You won't regret the new Lexus at all. Enjoy!
Thanks for chauffeuring us around on Saturday You guys def picked the best color and that ride is too damn smooth! Love it! M is going to be spoiled with all those features bruh, she'll never accept a downgrade after this
I didn't like the older ES' because they looked too much like the Camry but the newer ones are TITS Definitely much more GS feeling/look to it and megusta
Haha doing very well my man! I see you've been busy too. Come up again and Tyler can drive us around in his new whip! He knows this fancy restaurant where you cook your own food and they charge you up the ass for it
