I love TireRack...
they are sending UPS with labels to pick up my tires...I'll get credit minus shipping once they receive.
If I order new tires from them before they arrive, I don't pay shipping back.

Deal...
now to hunt...they don't have the DW in the size I need on the rear.

Haven't used any performance models, but have been happy with both Yokos & Sumis on my cars.

I put the s drives on our Accord, which is pretty similar to a CTS-V. I liked them, a little loud, but good driving tires.

I found them to be a little wanting in the grip department when they were cold though. But once they get a little bit of heat they are great.

Caveat emptor, opinions and assholes, etc.

yeah...they said leave em on the doorstep and get the hell out of here, ya filthy animal.
UPS apparently will put the shipping labels on and pick up...once they get back to Tire Rack they'll refund me minus shipping cost back to them, although if I place an order with them for my next set before they arrive, they'll not charge me the shipping back.

Well then lets find you some right size tires before they make it back. How about Michilan PSS. Do they make them in the right size?

Looking at Tire Rack if you want to stay with stock size tires then I would go with maybe the the Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position or maybe the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

If you up the tire size to 265/35/20 and 295/30/20 you can get the Kumho Ecsta PS91. They also have the Pilot Super Sport in that size for cheaper than our OEM size.

Thanks Jason...
my only issue is I'm not sure about clearance at all so I don't want to tempt fate and go wider...
I'm really thinking of going with the Sumi at $550 for the set...if they suck, it was cheap and I can replace down the line...I'm happy with that particular tire on the S2000 too.

I had the Sumi on the front of my V when I got it from the previous owner. I would say I had about 75% tread life on them left and they maybe made it 10k miles. They were not bad though.

Sweet deal!
I think I'm going that route...tire rack is so good to deal with anyway...I'm sure they won't give me a hard time.
I just don't feel like spending another 1000 on tires.

Okay, looks like I'm going with 20's that Majofo found me for a great deal...
I just need a cheap and pretty option that won't crack!

Anyone know what the oem size equivalent is for 20's? I'm assuming 5mm smaller sidewall and same as the oem?
Those 20's are awesome, they're going to look great on your Vagon...... Hey Majofo can you find me some 20's also LOL...

Nice find..

Brah, the sumis have always been good to me.. I always run HTR's on the X.
I dumped the Michelins for them.. I would always get sideways on the Micheese in the wet.
HTR's do well in the wet and have good traction in the dry. The wear is okay.. not phenomenal.
Long enough to find the next tire deal though!

You are the second person that told me of someone paying $200+ to ship a set of wheels. I am always shocked cause I have never paid more than like $120 to ship them.

I think the problem is people try and box them up together in pairs. If you ship them as four seperate boxes each normally only costs about $25-30 per wheel.

Maybe the cost on shipping has just gone up a lot. I haven't shipped a set of wheels in probably 6-7 years at this point but that just seems like a heck of a lot.

So I think I figured out why the Continental ExtremeContact DW were on blowout. Wish I would have grabbed a set for the TSX wheels.

They have a ExtremeContact Sport coming out this month. I imagine so the name competes with the Pilot Super Sport.

Well I guess the times I was shipping wheels were VOLK TEs and CEs and 18s So they only weighed in at about 16lbs each.
