Looking for pics of cars at stock ride height on 18's and...

I've been through a lot of wheel threads and have certainly seen many TL's on 18's but I've found very few at stock ride height. I'm looking to get a set of 18" wheels for my wife's KBP '07 Type-S and because it's her car, and a daily driver, I don't really want to lower it (or at least not much... if anyone has suggestions for a very mild drop that doesn't cost much I'd love to hear them).

Anyway, in particular we're leaning towards a set of VMR V710 wheels in 18x8.5 w/ +35mm offset and I'd like to put a set of 245/40R18 tires on it. That's the other picture I'd like to see if anyone has an example of such. I know many are running 235/40 but I'd like the little extra height of the 245 to lessen the space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender lip. And I want the little extra width for better curb protection if the wife happens to get a little too close (although she's really pretty good at being careful with such) I don't think we'll have any clearance issues with this combo at stock height but if anyone knows different please chime in. So far the only example pic I've been able to find resembling such a combo is this car:

Acura TL custom wheels Axis Hiro Hyper Silver 18x8.5, ET +35, tire size 245/40 R18. x ET

And I've seen this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/type-s-18-inch-wheels-stock-suspension-944679/
and like VisualEchos setup but his wheels are 9.5" wide and he is able to run a larger offset b/c he doesn't have Brembo brakes to clear.

Thanks in advance for any info and/or pics.

To be honest for pics...if you like your car right now with 17s it will only look better with 18s and the thicker tires.

Im glad you're leaning towards the advice of the VMRs, they look amazing and are some of my favorite wheels. Good luck and post pics when you get some wheels!!

18x9 +45 Advan RS 235/40 on stock suspension. In my opinion a drop is a must. My car looked like this for less than a day lol

I do appreciate the heads up on the VMR wheel sockr1. I know I'll like the wheel/tire combo but I also want to make sure I won't have any rubbing issues with the 245. I think it will be fine at stock ride height but would love to know that someone with a very similar setup has had it on their car and it worked.

Our other serious option is the Drag DR34 wheel in an 18x8 - Wheel Details - Discount Tire Direct

I know this wheel will fit without issue but have to agree that for the little extra money the VMR wheel is better looking.

You're welcome. IMO you will not rub with those specs and tire size, but hopefully someone can chime in with better pics or experience

Compared to drag, vmr is on another level. Looking back you won't even notice the little bit more you paid for vmr

Thanks eastcoast. And since we've got a Type-S it should be sitting just a touch lower than yours. Do you know if those are the 18x8 or 18x8.5 A-spec wheels?

Well I bit the bullet yesterday afternoon and ordered some VMR wheels. I'm going to order some 245/40R18 Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 in the coming weeks and when it all comes in we'll see how she looks! I think we'll probably be happy with it at stock Type-S ride height but if not then I'll look into what options I have to drop it just a hair. Thanks again for the pics and info.
