I just sold my AP2 valve cover to a local AP1 guy
Who's got the hookup on coilovers?

what's the difference between valve covers?

The different design helps with oil consumption that AP1s suffer from.

Dude... Start making donations to the sperm bank. We all know you beat off 20 times a day already. Might as well get paid for it

This generally only happens at a race track.
AP2's still do it. Just a little less. You need a vented catch can to stop this. Or a baffled valve cover.

Crappy, poorly designed Honda engines....

Do you remember it like it was yesterday?
...because it was yesterday?
In reality, all you need is a catch can and to remove the oil separator system. As long as no oil gets dumped into the intake, you're fine.
Also, there shouldn't be much oil up in the valve train to cause any sort of sloshing...all that should be in the crank case.

The AP2 covers have a different type of PCV valve. They slosh less oil on hard right handers. S2000's leave PLUMES of smoke on hard right handers. Enough to bog power.

On very hard right handers, it is extremely common for the oil to slosh into the breather tube from the valve cover. At high RPM and high G, the oil cannot drain back out of the head/valve cover and into the crank case.
We's got mad videos. Happens a lot. AP2's are better off...but not by much.
And yes...a catch can is a solution

Most likely nearly impossible to achieve on the street. Probably a bigger issue on the track with sticky tires (R-comp or close to them) and in a long, sweeping corner?
#9416
R comp? No.
Long sweeper? Probably. My car has only done it on long duration turns.
There is an off-camber, downhill, long sustained right turn (T10) at gingerman long config. HOLY SMOKES.

God damn comedy quotas. All day at work, I make painstakingly make prototypes and designs for mechanical testing. "STFU with the tech and make us a joke, nerd" is all I hear from anyone.
My life is hard AF.
Jk. I am VERY good looking.

Got this beast on, finally. 3" all the way to the header. No rattles. LCA and swaybar cannot hit the piping unless the shock first shoots through the hatch. All the hanger geometry is set so that there's no stress on the hangers...but the exhaust is extremely stiff. Matched the bumper angle with the muffler tilt so that it looks OEM.
Its loud AF....which sucks. But...it makes power, sounds good, and it will make me deaf by the age where I don't want to hear what my wife has to say to me anyway.
So far so winning.

I don't often use it often, though. I clean the floor prior with pinesol and a pressure washer. And the floor is epoxy coated....so I can slide around pretty easily on my t shirt. This is my dad's garage though.
I also wear silk shirts with tribal flames on them and apply SO much axe body spray. I smell amazing.

I have a very vintage "Jeepers Creeper" that was made in Canada in like...the 60's. Likely out of old hockey sticks and beard hair.
