Whoever is getting that orange one with the matching OEM hard top is getting the deal of the century with that trade. I'd do it in a heartbeat since the imola car will retain value FAR more than the white one.
i think you're forgetting how incredibly desirable a white honda with red interior is. I've seen people do some stupid things to try and get that color combo.
I'm wondering if the imola one has any flaws. like i said, the white one is still in showroom condition, through and through. Or there might be a caveat on the deal. Or... i dunno.

I know but Imola has the rarity in that it wasn't available in the US. The owner could get an incredible premium off of selling to a US buyer. Sh1t, I bet they aren't even all that common in Canada.
but he doesn't care about selling. he literally will not sell. his intention is to give the s2000 to his son one day... who's only 7 months old right now he doesn't want to get rid of his white one either. you'd think this is a no-brainer on his part, but he's in love with his current s2k.
i will agree with you on the rarity and desirability, but again, he's not looking at the dollars.
I'm glad I'm a lazy bastard because it saves me from being a stupid bastard.
I totally forgot I have to pick up Z today from daycare...would have been bad news in the S.

My gf just asked about the other day "I"m sure J doesn't drive his baby around in the s2k right..?" I just nervously laughed...
So a verbal deal was made last night, settled by about midnight. I'm tired today. The GPW s2000 my friend has is literally flawless. the Imola one- not nearly as perfect. It's in great shape but it needs some love.
I can't discuss the terms of the deal, but lets just say it was a good deal for my friend with the GPW. I think both guys are getting what they want, and although a pricey deal, it's a legitimately fair one in my mind.
my friend looking to trade the Imola has an impressive stable of cars though- Silverstone Metallic NA2 NSX with ultra low miles. White CR s2000 with factory radio delete (apparently only 1 of 8?) with 12k miles, the Imola s2000 with 25k miles, two ITRs (one is a JDM 4 door, the other a coupe), a new RDX and a Honda oddyssey
That being said, I don't want to post pics due to privacy, but there's something even more special about that imola s2k- it's vin number. Let's just say the vehicle number is 34.50 x 2. No joke. I kid you not. How ballin' is that? Honda must've done that on purpose!!
Ordered a set of Honda access 4 piece floor mats earlier

I just posted about these in 3GR. Friend of mine bought them last year for his white on red interior s2000. He got them in red also and only bought them because they cover the hump on the floor pan. He doesn't use them though- they're stored in a box on his shelf
