So I have two friends (yes, surprising, I know ). The first is my closest friend. The second is another dude we both went to highschool with. The second has been a salesman at one of the Acura dealerships here in town, for about a decade now. Both of these guys are Honda aficionados, however, the second dude has had a plethora of highly desirable hondas over the years. Still has a NA2 NSX, still Has a s2k CR, has had about 2 other s2ks, ITR in the past, etc, etc.
Anyway, Friend 2 approached Friend 1 with a proposition yesterday. The proposition? Friend 2 wants to trade s2000s with Friend 1. Straight up trade.
Car 1: 2008 Honda s2000. White exterior with red interior. 38,000km (23,750mi). OEM lip kit. USDM car. Absolutely, 100%, completely and utterly flawless car.
Car 2: 2007 Honda s2000. Imola orange exterior with black interior. 35,000km (21,875mi). OEM lip kit. OEM hard top. CDM car. I have no idea the condition, but I assume it's likely the same.
Both are completely stock, save for the sticky tires on them. The way they should be. Only Sam could appreciate such cars
No idea if the deal went through. Friend 1 wants my advice on whether to proceed- I'm guessing there are a few more details I'm not aware of just yet. Anyway, he sent me a teaser pic last night, in his garage at 1am
I know. Like I said, I'm meeting up with him tonight to talk about the trade. I'm guessing there's a bit more to the story than I currently know and likely why the deal hasn't been done yet. Or maybe it has. I'm in limbo right now and have no idea what is going one at least I'l get to see the imola under fluorescent lights tonight
Adam, with the top down, you could be 8 feet tall and fit fine. If you dont' make this happen...I'll kill you.
it's not my head height that matters. It's my legs. I can literally only use 50% of the steering wheel, because my knees impede the rest. Plus it kills my back after sitting in an s2k for more than 30 minutes and my knees hit the dash.
Realistically, I need 2 inches more leg room, or, be able to tilt the steering wheel. Neither of which is happening
Whoever is getting that orange one with the matching OEM hard top is getting the deal of the century with that trade. I'd do it in a heartbeat since the imola car will retain value FAR more than the white one.
