OFFICIAL Hondata Flashpro Calibration/Tuning Thread

Isn't the wide band only there for data logging while tuning? After you're tuned, you no longer need it hooked up the th ELD.

I know I would.

Also.. I need to get myself another pin, cause I stripped the ELD pin to use for my wideband haha

I wonder if you can just go by the stock primary o2 senser input. For example, replace your stock primary o2 sensor with your aftermarket wideband and wire it up to the primary o2 pin on the ecu. Then you can hook up the traction control to your ELD input. Question is, can you datalog the primary o2 signal this way. If you can, then you can use both at the same time with this method.

Doesn't really matter because your primary sensor is already a wideband sensor. The only reason you get another secondary wideband is to have a fail safe, if your primary craps out on you, you can recognize it early before you do damage.
But if you wire up traction control to ELD pin then you are foregoing your fail safe, and trusting that your primary will be alright..
In the end, hondata should give us another 5 pins so we can use them for whatever we want.

Hey... what's the hold up with uploading a video to show the "Overrun Throttle" disabled?

Maybe I'll make one when I'm done and all the snow goes away because I have footage of my rpms before the flashpro

Hey guys! so update: I got a flashpro and am going to flash the car next time Im at the storage location. I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for changing the hontata base tune. My car is stock so I was just gonna base tune and call it a day. Should I do this valves to 40 thing you guys are doing? any other stubble cheats to make my car run better? Thanks guys, thanks for the patience I know this is a newb post

I wouldn't mess w/ the base tune. After you get more parts like your PCD and exhaust you can have VIT fine tune it for you. is what I did

Hey quick question for you hondata people, i just picked up a ktuner for my 09 tsx and it only had one base map. what did you guys get for preloaded base maps? im stock right now so its really doesnt matter, but i have aspirations of doing headers soonish or maybe a CAI/ ice box.

The car runs very well. The only thing I really noticed was the rev hang was definitely improved. The shifts are more like I want them to be, clean and quick. At a red light I mashed the throttle and did a redline in first, chirped second and banged into third and I have to say, A LOT better than how the car used to perform. Before the cal, it was so hard to get second gear above 5500 rpm and that higher redline is great.
The only thing that is concerning me is in second or 3rd around 1k to 2k rpm the engine dosnt seem to be getting fuel or air or something. It kind of cuts out and a few times it got very jerky and It only happens under load and dosnt happen every time. Obviously this is a product of me being to lazy to downshift but it never happed on the stock ecu. NOW, it does seem to be getting better and hasnt happened in the last few trips. It could be my ecu is still "learning" the cal or something? Could be a hole in the fuel map? If that's a thing?
Another thing that I was wondering about is the vtec window on this cal says 5k to 5k.........confused here, I left it the same but was wondering if I could just lower that to like 4k and raise it to redline? Something im missing here I think.

There is a VTEC open/close. I believe when the value is set to the same then it opens and stays open until redline.
And open I mean VTEC engaged.

ssjoe will post your final calibration I need to see what your high cam tables look like, I've been doing some tuning my self and want to see the difference in our cam tables I'm thinking cam timing played a role in melted my pistons

Basically just search for TSX, and there are a handful of calibrations. You will see my name. I believe my calibration is pretty modest... He knew I wanted to keep it on the safe end ( I hear that 1G TSX, and Si are getting close to 350whp on virtually the same setup I have...not sure the validity though)
You think VIT did not dial back the cam timing enough?? Or maybe overestimated the efficiency of your spray?
#1062
I just cant seem to get the knock at 4-5000 RPM under control even at only 12 PSI tried taking timing out nothing tried giving it more fuel nothing ?

Your Valve to piston clearance is ok? I know you changed them.. Im sure you have checked all of this already. You're the master tech. I know enough about tuning to be dangerous, but not enough to diagnose/fix problems :/

Hey Utah, did you figure out the cam phasing issue? How did my calibration compare to yours! Post some updates!
#1065
Cam timing made zero difference went from 0-45 Deg.
it seems to be the knock sensitivity no matter what I do to fuel or timing it makes no difference at 3800-4500 RPM, still working on it

ok, pm me your email, and Ill just email the calibration to you.
(Although, you don't have to be logged in to search for uploaded calibrations. See Below)

Also, Utah.. did you ever install sensors to measure individual cylinder temps?
I was also diggin around in FP manager and they have an option to adjust individual cylinder fuel trim if you have lamda probes setup. Pretty cool

No just a single one, we can't do individual port on our head because of the water-jacket in the built in manifold design
