Painted BRAKE CALIPERS: PICS Products & DIY steps
thanks, man...in this day and age, the huge lips and deep concaves are the in thing...but I still love a classic wheel that has the spokes go all the way to the edge.
I'm happy with it...love how the calipers make the rim pop. I guess it's reversed for a black wheel, normally you want a dark caliper to not detract from the wheel, but in this case, I feel like it adds some needed contrast.

What size is your rims n width n what size tires are you running on them. And is it lowered.
Ok, my brakes are up for replacing soon and been on the fence of changing my rotors (at least the front) to POWER STOPS or something along that line. (Any recommendations ROTORS & PADS) While under the fender with this job, I was thinking of painting of painting my calipers with some G2 Epoxy paint as I have several times in the past with several cars. Any pics of other DIY jobs for those who can't afford ROTORA BBK and some Hi-end dollar kits like myself
...LOL!
I am in a toss up of the following colors:
ORANGE
RED
BLACK
GOLD
BLUE
Pics details please: Thanks!

I'm really thinking about taking them off and just getting them powder coated though. I just want something more permanent and glossy
Mine stayed clean for a couple of weeks and I wash my car Atleast once a week and detail it once every 1-2 weeks. I even take a detailing brush and cleaners to the orange and they still have brake dust stains on them. But I used flameproof header paint to stand up to the heat with no clear coat so the no clear coat probably has something to do with the stains

I used high temp silver as a base many years ago...
I redid the brembo decal to a different color once, and figured I'd be fine with non high temp clear since the middle (base) color was rustoleum regular satin from home depot...
well, after 6 months, for the first time ever they started looking dingy...the clear would get hot, the brake dust would embed and stay in it. With a high temp engine enamel clear, it stays firm and won't hold the dust/dirt. When I wipe now and on the teal on my black TL...they wipe off with a paper towel and look as good as the day I did them.

Yea man I was so pissed it was the first wash right after I repainted and clear coated. I've used this cleaner for years and no issues. But this time the cleaner left stains and I can't get it off. Only can be seen if up close to the brembo letter but still...

...

Duplicolor Engine Enamel, Universal White, 12 oz. Aerosol DE1602: Advance Auto Parts
I also did the engine enamel clear over top of the brembo.

nice man. Yea I keep running through different colours in my head and I keep going to either black white polished embossed acura or pearl white with blue acura lettering but I'm worried the lettering will look cheesy as the lettering on the RL calipers is a lot bigger then the TL brembos?
The white turned out nice! I'm due for brakes and have been trying to decide what to do with mine since they look awful. I just got my wheels powedercoated in a mint green so my options are pretty limited. I thought about going with a deep purple, but I'll probably just redo them in black and keep it simple.

well, I would be shocked if you stuck with the same loud wheel color forever, so pick something neutral, and classy that'll still kinda "pop" without detracting from the wheels or any future wheel colors you pick.
What type of sandpaper would you guys recommend for the brembo's that still have the gloss film perfectly intact? I have no rust on my calipers, so maybe sanding isn't even necessary? Also, I bought the RDX caliper covers for the rear brakes. Brand new, not sure if sanding is needed?

i'd suggest 300
