LOL you guys gotta read....check out the RJ sides....they are very subtle, a tad bit more aggressive than OEM....

i just cant justify spending 250-300 bucks on very very subtle changes to the side....

as I said Jayvee, I feel exactly how you felt....maybe the sides would change my opinion as well

I did...but there's something about the kit matching all around...I'd have to look closer at it. But like you said, i wouldn't spend that kinda scratch for a minor change.

Hellz nah! Thats a GRIP! for just sides... I saw ACK selling side and rear bumper for ~ $900.00! Ouch Ouch Ouch!...and the bad thing is, that was prolly a good deal Bruce was running at $900.00 with no front bumper. That is a EX how expensive that kit is. HELL NO!

^^^ yeah RJ told me he can do the sides for 300 shipped

again am not sure about this just exploring my options....well if you buy the OEM sides, you spend 250ish for a little little little difference, might as well get the sides....we need a photoshop expert in here LOL....

I got you...
No, I was talking from the perspective of already having the oems and going to the RJ...I already have the aspecs, obvi.
In your case, could be cool though...the beefier the car looks from the bottom, the better.

hey guys, was looking to paint my front brembo's on my 07 TL-S and was looking to add a brembo dust cover back wheels also just to match up with the fronts..I'm going to paint mine as soon as I find a pair for the rear wheels to match so I can do them all at once. any suggestions where I can get a pair for a decent price? this is the cheapest one I found online.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/260912088690...84.m1423.l2649
anyone know of any others?

Yep! That's them! In CF of course. They do have other colors available. But, guess it wouldn't matter if you are only looking for the cheapest price to paint over anyways

Tu parle le francais rockstar? Tu a un tres belle voiture! Haha, I love the brembo silver contrast like everyone else, where did you buy your brakes from? My TL is silver, so I feel like red/yellow would be a necessity in order to create a cool contrast. :P

I'm pretty sure his Brembo came with his TL. I like Red color on silver car. You should check out steven bell's TL. He has Red Brembo on ASM.

I copied rockstar's Brembo. I love his color contrast. I'm gonna change color next week again. I like that classy look on silver, but i want little more pop.

U can use caliper paint, but caliper paint somewhat limits u to specific or handful of colors. To widen your spectrum or choices u can opt to use engine paint. As long as its heat resistance base. I will personally be using DUPLICOLOR Torque N' Teal engine paint, same as i used on my engine cover. See my build thread.

main thing is that heat transfers mainly through the base layer, so as long as the primer or base coat is a high temp, you'll probably be just fine...
Then you can put whatever type of spray on top of that.

Oui, je parles Francais. Merci, bien! My grammar isn't great...but I was born in Swiss, so I do speak and understand it plenty.

I think, if well orchestrated, I think yellow on silver can be great!

Love this thread and can't wait to do mine, but I still haven't decided what color. Silver type s with ebony a specs, what do you guys think? I want the nice big calipers to stand out, but I don't want them to look overly flashy.

I also have rdx caliper covers waiting in the garage, has anyone in here tried painting them?

$18...each! Vs the avg cost $11-12ea X 4 go cover front and rear... BIG difference in cost for this cheap mod... for another example i forgot to share with u guys. I bought 2 cans on ebay of the TEAL i used for my cover at $5.xx ea. Then last week i went to return to the buyer i bought them from to purchase 1 more... and the cost was $15.xx ea. Not per say Breaking The Bank...but still big difference and sometimes its all about principle IMO even at pennies.

Jay - what's your plan for putting acura/brembo lettering on those RDX covers? Or were you just going to leave them blank?

I figure maybe I would get smaller brembo decals to match the color I went with up front.

Also, I think I'm going to go red calipers, just not sure about the decal color. Either white or black i would assume though.

Well sad to report, I have NO BREMBO brakes. So yes! I will be removing the original ACURA logo off, prep, paint and replace the ACURA logo over the new color I plan on painting the RDX covers. I already have the HI-Temp (black) ACURA logos in hand

think of any car color you like and get the paint from this site.....

super easy to do.... first use some simple green clean the calipers.... use some 600 grit sand paper to scuff up.... then spray on paint 4 coats and then use there high gloss clear and do 4 coats as well.... paint looks awesome... cans spray like an air brush you will be happy!

we just did my friends G37s in 2004 nissan A17 lemans sunset color they sparkle like mad in direct sun ....
