civicdrivr's Z3 thread
Damn you guys are impatient
I wanted to leave KC by 3am at the absolute earliest. Friday and Saturday night I could not get comfortable in the hotel bed. Sunday night I slept like a baby. Didnt leave KC till 8am
I rode most of the way home in rain. Then hit CRAZY fog in VA. Almost ran out of gas too - I didnt want to pay WV prices for gas right at the border so decided to stretch it into VA. The first station off the highway was closed. The needle was past E. I had no idea how much was truly left in the tank. I limped it another 7 miles up the highway and found a station. 12.4 gallons to fill up. Its a 13 gallon tank
Im thinking about holding out pics until around week three, just to see what you do with the three word thread
Thanks man! It was great meeting you as well.
Thanks! I think we rode out of KC together yesterday morning, but I dont remember actually meeting you. Anyways, your car looked good! Sorry you had a bit of a run in with a deer though.
Thanks! We'll definitely need to find some bigger stickers for his car.
Thanks! I cant wait to lower it. The stock height is killing me. Hopefully Ill have something in the next week or two.
The front is pretty flush though, so I may only run spacers in the rear. We'll see how the camber changes once I lower it though.
You're sending out mixed signals....
Fuck you guys.

I've finally decided on a custom plate BTW. Ill post it up once I get it

Wheels style looks good. I am not always sure about wheels that are so close to the color of the car so I will reserve final judgement till later. CE28n are one of my favorite wheels ever though. Also definitely need that 5mm spacer in the rear for sure. Can't wait to see it lowered. How much longer?

I guess it's that time huh?
Sorry in advance: my Flickr account is unavailable until I upgrade to a Pro account, I reached my upload limit for the month on the free one
Anyway now that I'm home here we go!

I love the red stitching the car has on the interior

The seats are incredible, they offer plenty of comfort, but also keep you planted.

I really like the gauge cluster as well

The shift knob is one of my favorite parts. Nice touch Morgan

Big thanks to Morgan for making an 1100 mile trip out here for the Natl Meet and for also letting me snap pics of the FR-S.

Thanks for the compliment. I'll try to be more social at the next meet.
Those slow drivers in the left lane were pissing me off, and I just wanted to get home
And its too easy to not meet everyone at those large meets when you only have a couple of hours to do it. I think I only met a handful of those that showed up
Oh btw, I didnt have time to post about this last week.
The stock exhaust tips are horrible. I happened to have a pair of S2k tips laying around that I decided to toss on the car:

S2k on left, OEM on right. Its a temporary solution, as I will be getting an exhaust once I find something that A) sounds nice and B) I can actually purchase.

Im going to play around with the ride height to get it where I like it while still being able to get around on these shitty roads.
Speaking of which, got a bit of damage on the passenger side rocker panel on the way to work this morning. I have no idea what I hit, but I was changing lanes and there was a loud BANG BANG BANG. The first one was hitting it with my tire, the second was it hitting the rocker panel, the third was hitting the rear wheel. And yes, whatever it was scuffed the lip on the rear wheel

Nice, right? Straight down to the undercoat

sorry to see that happening to your brand new car....now sell that to me for half off....it has damage

Im going to stop by a few shops on the way home from work for a quote. Its a small area, I doubt its even worth going through insurance for. Plus my insurance company would supposedly consider it at fault
