I think I may want in. Time to ditch the base and join the quad club. Maybe...maybe...any exhaust note difference between the base and quads?

Got two in on it now!

I don't think you will find the tone to be all that different to be honest, but it is hard to say without having them side by side.

Once we hit the deadline, about how long do you estimate the quads will arrive at our doorsteps?

Unfortunately the rear lips only come in 07-08 colors, and SSM was an 04-06 color. We'd get you an ASM lip and you could have it painted to match your car. We can paint as well for extra charge.

^ I think there's only 4 more available spots left for the quads from the last email I got, you should definitely get in on this. As far as the j-pipe I'm not sure.

No, you will have to do cutting if you want to use the base bumper. Basically you need to cut a wider exhaust port to fit the type-s aspec, also if you don't want your base bumper to show through them you will have to cut off the entire section of your lower bumper.

There is a thread out there, do a search for type-s aspec base bumper

yes those are made for the base tl. the only reason why quads wont fit is because the exhaust port in the base bumper is not wide enough

so who added on the optional resonator?

i didn't think i would need one, so i didn't get it when i did the buy in... but now i'm starting to think if i made a mistake??? i know it won't sound ricey... i spoke to marcus at heeltoe and he confirmed it - resonator or no resonator, the system will sound good. i'm just concerned that there will be a lot of rasp. i purchased a hi-flow cat instead of the test pipe so i think that should cut down on the rasp... but not 100% sure.

the setup i purchased is j-pipe, hi-flow cat, and the quads. what do you guys think? do you think it'll be raspy with this setup? i know many people get tons of rasp with straight piping and precat deletes. can someone please elaborate on what a precat delete is for me... sorry for being such a noob. my knowledge of exhaust systems is kinda limited.

thanks, guys!
