JL HD900/5 & 10W6v2?

I'm looking for words of wisdom with using the JL HD900/5 amp & JL 10W6v2 sub
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=537

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=6
that will be in the custom sealed trunk box we use to be able to purchase that this post details.
https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/custom-fiberglass-subwoofer-enclosures-358676/

I will use the amp to power the oem speakers in a 2005 TL that has a oem non navi head unit that the post above details that if we over power the oem speakers (minus the oem sub) then oem speakers will come to life and sound pretty good over powered.

Post your $.02 and or if the details if you have done some thing like this and the results you found or how you installed it.

I plan to use the
JL XD-PCS2-2B power connection kit
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_c...l.php?cat_id=9

The
JL XB-BLUAIC2-18 & JL XB-BLUAIC4-18 RCA wires & JL XD-CLRAIC2-SW to convert the OEM speaker wires to RCA and run the audio from head unit to trunk (want to use RCA kits in case some day I upgrade head unit and or speakers)

I would recommend to change your interior speakers if you can. You will get better sounding highs. I'm also running that amp with same sub that you want to use. I think it sounds perfect.

Hey Joe I'm out of town right now but I will post pics when I return home. I also purchased a cleansweap from JL as well. It went oem amp to cleansweap to JL amp.

The amp wouldn't fit under the passenger seat due to the rear a/c. It fit perfectly under my driver seat.

Thank you for the pics. Doesn't the amp get in the way of a passengers feet if they sit in that location? How much did you pay for each item and install costs?

No problem, I try to make sure no one tall sits behind me. How the mat covers the front of the amp, I'm not to worried about scratches. The amp $650, sub $260, JL cleansweap $220, speakers JL C2's $210 a pair, and wiring was $100. (+/- a few bucks here and there) My buddy installed it at his shop for $140.

About using a clean sweep. Why did you use one when it only does four speakers? I would think a AudioControl Matrix
http://www.audiocontrol.com/t34/5249...ne-Driver.html
would be the way to go in our cars to include the center speaker. This post has allot of good info.
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/diy-aftermarket-amp-install-speaker-install-audiocontrol-matrix-install-w-pics-580314/

I can't find a good /high wattage six speaker amp though and wonder why with allot of newer cars having six speakers.

It looks like its under the passenger seat. Im thinking that changed the design or just took it out. I believe in the vid they are installing everything in a type s, while I have 05.

The clean sweep is after the factory amp, so my center speaker works perfectly. I took out the stock sub completely. I also went with JL since his shop is a vender and gave me decent price for it.
