2006 RL: power windows not working except driver's side

After having my alternator replaced yesterday, the power window button does not activate opening or closing all of the windows except the driver's side. What can be done?
Thanks

I'm willing to bet money all you have to do is the power window reset.

1. Go to problem door.
2. Lower window all the way down, and hold the button for 5 seconds (?) past when the glass hits the bottom
3. Raise the window all the way up, and hold the button for 5 seconds (?) past when the glass shuts
4. You should have control from the master switch again.

projektvertx,

You're a genius! I followed your instructions for every door and I got back control from the Driver's door again. Thank you so much. A repair shop I visited on the way home wanted to order another driver's door switch from a salvage yard and the job was going to cost $200-300. This made my day.

Wow! This is awesome. My passenger rear didn't work from the master and there's no way I was going to drop the $$ to get it fixed (it's an '05). Thanks so much!

This worked for me! Just adding some extra info, I had to one-click-push down hold 5 seconds, one-click-pull up hold 5 seconds. If you push/pull all the way which you hear two clicks (which would normally be the full auto up/down), this way didn't work to reset for me on my 05 RL.

Wow I’m going to try this. Neither rear windows work from the driver’s side master switch.
just bought the car and it seemed fine. Check this out! It’s a 2006 RL with only 65k miles!!
looks brand new inside!

Smile RL Window Switch Reset

Thanks for your post on the window reset, projektvertx. A newbie technician replaced a battery in my 05 RL at the dealer,
next I found my front passenger window not working from the driver switch console.
They insisted it was a bad main console switch, $$$ for the entire cluster.
I recall when new, the sales man had to do a similar reset, but I could not remember the steps.

I replaced front shocks (KYB's) yesterday by the dealer and had a 2021 TLX ASpec loaner.
I found good aspects in the TLX but the fit and trim was nowhere near the RL.

I am a happy camper again, sweet ride!!
