Let me know when you get this daciss, I was looking at it yesterday and also have the '07 disc currently. I live in South Jordan and half my streets are not on the current map.
I'm curious what other updates there are as well.
Will do. I bought it for my Wife's 09 MDX. She has the 2012 verizon in her car and that one is going to my 07 TL. Luckily the version is compatible for both my Acuras.
Just got my update version for 2016 today. I think its worth it. My 07 TL still has the 07 navigation version. My wifes 09 MDX has the 2012 navigation version and I can just move that one to my 07 TL and put the new 2016 in the 09 MDX. Luckily for me, the versions are compatible with both my Acuras.
Some Jackass teenage backed into my wife's MDX with his ranch truck. Steel bed truck so no damage to his and a ton to mine! Does anyone have any good recommendations on an autobody shop in Salt Lake?
Question for you Utah guys. I'm moving to Salt Lake City from Michigan and I got a question on the emissions testing. I've got a beautiful 08 TL Type S with the following exhaust mods: RV6 J Pipe, RV6 High Flow precats, and ATLP Quad V2 Catback exhaust with a 26" resonator. I currently have a CEL for the O2 sensors in the back that I'm sure will go away if I add a defouler to them. There's no way for me to test emissions here in MI and I don't want to be SOL when I get to Utah.
Does anyone have experience passing emissions with a similar set up?
We're not very strict in Utah. They no longer do a tailpipe test here. All they really check for are ECU codes. If you don't have any codes, you'll pass. It's kind of stupid really since our air quality can get bad in the winter, and there are lots of cars I know are running catless based on the sound and smell (and all the crap on their rear bumpers above the tailpipes) I'm assuming they slap them back on during inspection then take them back off afterward.
I've had a 3G and a 4G, both with HFPC's and the 3rd cat deleted (long Jpipe) and passed with both since they don't do a visual check either. Before they stopped doing tailpipe tests, I still passed emissions with the 3G with HFPC's and no 3rd cat. Technically you're not supposed to use modify the cats at all (aftermarket or deleting). In the case of my 3G, I had to reinstall my EGR so that it didn't throw a code in order to pass inspection (I kept the EGR on the 4G I currently have).

Nice!! Anyone here from St. George? I've only seen some stock tL's here.
Bumping this old quote, but yes, there are some AZine folks in St G. You'll probably see my buddy Blair rolling around in his KBP TL-S. Most of my family is in STG, and I'll be driving up this weekend in my 1994 Legend. Honk and wave if you're around and see me. Haha.

That's fantastic news, thanks for the detailed response! I called an emissions tester out there as well and they basically said as long as there is no CEL it'll pass - seems quite lax (I mean it shouldn't be because of the inversion).
I look forward to driving the beautiful roads out there shortly.
No posts in quite a few months, but either way it's worth a shot. I've got a 2007 Type-S Auto and have done most maintenance myself, but no longer have much time. Any recommendations on mechanics from Ogden to Provo that know these cars inside and out? I've got 170k and would love to see it to 250k! Thanks in advance.

I'm in Salt Lake City. I worked for local Acura Dealer for 5 years as a tech. Now I'm at local Subaru Dealer for last 3 years. I still love working on Acuras, though. Let me know if you need anything. More than happy to help.
^^^^ best technician right there. Dude fixed up my TL did the timing belt job and valve adjustment and really brought the motor back to life after a hard 90,000 miles of beating I put on it!
I sold my 07 TL but still have the whole set up for the bike rack I had. The base piece is the Thule Rapid Traverse Set (480R) that is designed for the TL. Looking at selling the set for around $300 (spent $800 on the set up) .
