So I finally got this up. I built out the Thule roof mount on the TL. Even with the bikes off I really like the look of the mount.

 

^nice! Ok now I'm lowered so all is well. lol

 

Just a little update. Added to the front grill yesterday and I have it all matte black.

My car just rolled 105k and time for the service. My local Honda was charging 1300+ and Acura wanted 1600+

 

Same ol same. Just DIY it. Or buy your parts online and pay for labor.

 

Im at 136 K miles. Everything seems to be running smoothly for the most part. Lately, every time I turn my heat all the way up on high, smells like burning rubber for a time. Any experienced that?

Also I'm going to be getting some TSW interlagos rims that I'm stoked about. They will be 17'. Tad small but still think they'll look sick.

Call me a little crazy, I flew out to Florida last weekend to purchase a 09 Acura MDX and drove it back! Got the TL and MDX now! My life is complete. I will post pictures soon.

Hey guys, just bought an MDX and I'm not sure it'll pass the state limit for tint. Any suggestions on what I should do?

hey Utah peeps, know of any good tinting shops? any suggestions on level of tint? is UV tint worth it?

 

I have some buddies that do tint. One in layton at GM dealership and All star brokers in bountiful. If I were to do it again I'd go 20% all around. I have 5% all around with 35% windshield but got pulled over last month.

 

deff good to know, whats legal here in utah do ya know off hand? is it hard seeing out your back window at night?

 

Just the front windows have to be 46.3% that's legal. I don't have a problem seeing out the back.
Didn't realize you have a 4th gen.. i have two buddies that have the 4th gen.

 

oh i love it! i never thought to do mods to it or make it sexier till my Mazda buddy suggested finding forums and hitting up other Acura peeps... glad i did!

I had a guy tint my Wifes Acura MDX past the limit. Paid cash under the table and he did a legit job! Never been pulled over (Knock on wood)

I also moved up to Roy! So Im pretty close to you guys as well.

 

I still have the roof rack. I might be getting rid of it in the summer. I think I parked by you at the roy front runner station one time.. I was like this car looks familiar!!

 

Ya I park there everyday! Usually have the MDX right next to me too. I bought the roof rack b/c I thought it looked cool. Then I dropped my life savings on two road bikes

The 2016 Nav system just went on sale. I just bought mine so I thought I'd post where to get it for $50 off. The one in my TL is from 07... only 9 years old haha.

new Utah TL owner here. 2nd TL that I have owned, previous was an '04 WDP and now I am back with a '07 CGP both technology pkg.

The new '07 has 170k miles and I am hoping she lasts for a while until I can get my hands on a TL-S 6MT.

 

Let me know when you get this daciss, I was looking at it yesterday and also have the '07 disc currently. I live in South Jordan and half my streets are not on the current map.

I'm curious what other updates there are as well.
