So I got a CEL on my 06 TL yesterday. Took it to Auto Zone and came back with P2243 showing oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1. Anyone know where the exact location of this sensor is so I can go ahead replace it myself? Maybe there's a diagram somewhere you guys may know of. Also, a friend told me I should go with Denso over Bosch?
Hey guys im new to this forum, I just picked up a 2004 TL. I got these three codes all corresponding to the same location first of all are they related to one sensor or is there different sensors i need to buy. My second question is that it says bank 2 sensor 2 for all three locations does anyone have a video or diagram as to where this sensor(s) are located.
I received code P2237 which is oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1. I have read that it is good to change out your oxygen sensors in pairs. Is that correct? If so, does that mean I should also change out oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 1? Also, could you help me with the locations? Is bank 1 sensor 1 (#10) and bank 2 sensor 1 (#9)? Any additional information would be helpful as I am fairly a noob at working on my car or any car for that matter.
Thank you for your help,
Stephen
Some folks will suggest to you to change them in pairs, some other folks, me included, will suggest to change them when they fail. Why? In my experience, an old, but still operational, O2 has about the same probability of lasting another 50,000 miles as does a brand new one.
