ATLP OR XLR8 J-pipe?
Well that depends on if you're awd or fwd and if you're emissions check undercarriage or not. ATLP makes the V1 which retains the factory cat. But only offer the V2 for FWD which deletes the cat as well. Correct me if I am wrong please.
XLR8 offers both versions for both models. I went with XLR8 V2 for my AWD.

V1, V2, V3...do not mean all the same things on all manufacturers.
The ATLP pipe made for the FWD TL is a V2 pipe (ATLP designation for increased ground clearance). ATLP never made a V1 for the 4g. All ATLP V2 pipes retain the factory 3rd cat and can be supplemented with a 3rd cat delete or high flow replacement.
XLR8's V1 design uses the cross-over primary and keeps the stock cat in place, while their V2 has inline primaries, more ground clearance, and deletes the 3rd cat without a supplementary pipe.
I haven't heard the ATLP in person, but our V2 sounds great and adds a nice deep rumble. It's also made in the U.S. with U.S. grade stainless steel. Deleting the third cat will also free up a good amount of power, and since the third cat is not monitored it won't throw a check engine light.
Here are the comparisons we have made of all the j-pipes together. It will show that the V2 makes more top end power for better high-performance applications, and the ATLP V2-R matches the XLR8 V2's power band.

The XLR8 V2 is a great pipe but don't for a second think any j-pipe will improve the engine's torque output that much. The dyno Excelerate is posting has big bold letters showing misleading information. It was done before the flashpro existed to the timing could definitely play a factor. According to what we know, it was a test submitted by a customer, leading to questionable test conditions.

I've been debating myself, and the one thing I can't wrap my head around is:
- XLR8 V2 has 2.25" primaries w/ a 2.75" collector
- RV6 V2 has 2.25" primaries w/ a 3" collector
- ATLP V2 has 2.25" primaries w/ a 2.5" collector
But then:
- XLR8 exhaust is 3" to dual 2.5"
- ATLP exhaust is 3" to dual 2.25"
- Stock is ???
Wouldn't you want the collector to match to the exhaust?

The ATLP V2 J-pipe you are mentioning here is for a FWD, and that 3" ATLP cat-back is for an AWD model.
Are you positive the XLR8 AWD cat-back has dual 2.5" that seems like a lot...and overkill.
Not necessarily...this isn't a critical point. Also, you don't want to confuse collector size with the rear flange size.

With regard to the XLR8, I was basing it off the numbers I found on the internetz -
XLR8 Exhaust Systems - Excelerate Performance - Japanese and European Performance Specialists!!
In the notes:
XLR8 Stainless Steel Resonated Catback Exhaust (3" to Dual 2.5" to Dual 4.5" Double Wall Oval Tips)
It also looks like you changed the collector #'s for the RV6 one from my quoted post. Should be 3" - or is that what you mean with the collector/rear flange? It says 3.0" exit - why would that number change from 2.5" to 3" ?
