visiting ?

what gas brand is normally considered the best around (going to be driving out there eventually)(mainly in the buffalo area) (i would want shell, but they are not out there )

basically premium is mandatory , and price is kinda secondary to how well the engine runs

thanks

Why don't they have a Shell there? That's weird...

Well, the only gas I use is Shell(but that's out) and sometimes Hess. Hess is good quality IMO.

I use Shell only too. Look online to see what other brands are Top Teir and then from that see what's in the area you'll be at.

I really don't think theres that much of a big difference. Maybe just a matter of detergents and additives. I use only 91/93. I used to used sunoco 94 but they don't sell it here anymore. And some places have been caught selling 87 as 89 or 91. At least with Shell if you're using 89 and then use 91 you can feel a slight difference in performance from it.

no such thing as HESS here

but the base stock may be the same, but additives and such can be different though, which can make the car run better or worse depending

but also with the bigger brands, they seem to have better quality control on where/how the gas is stored and what not; but also higher turnover is normally better with the bigger stations, so it does not sit in there tanks for more then a couple of days (which means it's also blended for the current weather forecast, and not last week's forecast)

did not think of that , but looks to mainly be Mobil stations then (or ESSO, which looks to be the same, Mobil's site also lists them under their station locator)...

Sunoco is approved also, but only the Sunoco Canada division though, not here in the US
