October 23rd, Heckscher Park, LI Meet 12PM

My thing IS I chose October 23rd due to the fact that someone else is using our Eastcoast Acurazine headquarters in L.I at heckscher state park in NY to throw their own event called Island Import Day. And its gonna be a pretty large event, all types of forums. Thats why I had to make sure we will be present on the 23rd. I made them aware that Heckscher State park was the Acurazine headquarters. We also have a cruise going to the park from Queens, to long island. So if u can make it forest park im pretty sure a straight drive on a smooth highway wouldnt hurt because say im 20 minutes the most from forest park and 15 minutes away the queens meetup spot for the 23rd.. Mind you guys I live close to forest park, but im willing to drive out to L.I.
I have a great amount of cars coming along already, its just up to everyone on here to make this event even more epic like the event we threw in 2009, so we all can have a nice cruise together. And I approve that the southern state is smooth and is good to go. Remember this is only in October we can also have another event at a closer location after If u guys want. Hey we all got Acura's with heated seats! NO?

hopefully I get my car back in time. I just put it in the shop last Friday it's gonna be there for a while. But what about a meet that we can actually do something like we all go to eat somewhere or shoot pool or something like that. Otherwise standing around on a chilly day is kinda boring after an hour or so.

We're only a couple wks out from this meet. What's up with this list guys?? I remember we used to get 50++ names on this list for Heckscher. Even our NYC meets in the dead of winter would have 20+ cars. Is AZine dying out or is it just that people don't know about this?

Yeah I hear ya guys. Forrest Park woulda been nice but I guess it's set by the OP. That accident was terrible, I think about it whenever I'm on SSP. I drive low and slow, lol. My car rubs so much because of the drop that I can't drive all that fast even if I wanted. The caravans are fun for sure, actually the best part, but it is smarter to be safe and controlled. Not to mention less people getting lost and less pissing off parents in minivans.
Been to Heckscher for at least 5 of the meets, pretty lengthy drive from CT but it was worth seeing all the cars. Now that I'm coming in from NJ doesn't really make it much easier. Sometimes when the meet gets too big it is too spread out and actually boring. You just look at the cars and don't get to interact as much and go home. IMO the best meets have always been between 20-40 cars. You get into good conversations meet new people and their cars. That's what the meets are all about. It all depends on the company. And some of the guys who I know are the ones that are commenting on this thread; it sux that it sounds like they are not coming. lol. Let's see if the list grows.

I like the meets to be Acura exclusive because although other makes interest me I'm on ACURAZINE for a reason. And lastly I rather the meets be smaller (30 tops) because it's more personal, you actually get to ask other members about their car/mods/wheels etc.
Meets with 75-100: 1/2 the cars on display aren't show worthy and no one is at their car because they're walking around looking at othr cars unless they're a vendor or trying to sell their car.

JDM- Dont be uninspired to post about any meets you know of on here. Its always great to have ACURAZINE involve and show off our ACURAS.

We can have our own section, its our Azine carmeet we can do whatever we want, but not for nothing some ideas would be good and helpful as well. Make carravans(not dodge) and roll out spots. I have Queens and L.I settup with Roll out locations already. If u have friends with nice rides invite them bring them along for the ride, we can do BBQ's but yet I never see anyone throw that idea out. Im all for it. I think this NJ/NY regions area is too low on the bottom of the page and nobody can really see it easily.
The drives alone are fun, last time I kept my speed, my car is hella low, so I dont really drive crazy anyway. Lets just all try to make this event a great one. And after this we can choose another location.

AWW MAN!! X me off the list. Some FU**FACE rear ended my car in Brooklyn at a red light. Dumbass didn't even brake, must have been playin with his phone. Luckily my passenger only got minor whiplash.
Destroyed my rear bumper though still drivable. As I've always said this is a well made car because at about 30mph it's a pretty hard hit u would expect more damage. SOO happy my ATLP quads were untouched! Should fix up OK. In NY driving everyone knows your turn for an accident inevitably comes, I escaped for this long. As careful as I am, there was NO way to avoid this. Could have been way worse. It could have happened while I was on bike!! Yikes I don't want to even think about it!!
It sux, my last meet was early 2010. Oh well, there's always next time. Have fun at the meet guys.

thanks bro^ and I wanna thank everyone who attended, our Cruise was the Best Cruise of the Year, The carmeet itself was INSANE! Me and Tesh lead the cruise and kept everyone at Minimum speeds, my friend Kenny held the Long Island Rest stop area down. The Southern State was full of troopers just waiting, but we still made it through strong in full force just cruising. All the troopers reactions were to get us soon as we passed them, but they noticed our speeds and pretty much left us alone. I hope we have more members come out to our next event. And I wanna thank everyone who came out to Support!
