Its been a while since I've been on the forum. Trying to see if anyone knows of someone they trust with good prices in Northern Jersey in the Paramus/Fort Lee, Teaneck area of NJ for transmission work.

Recently have been feeling the transmission slipping between 3rd and 4th every so often when going uphill for two or three months now. Today the CEL, VSA and (!) light came on, shut the car off and then only the CEL remains. Tested for the DTC code and it came up as 70 which seems to indicate a transmission issue. Any recommendations of someone they trust is greatly appreciated.

Or if anyone in the area could help take a look to make sure I didn't misdiagnose it that would be great.

Anyone know someone they could trust? I may be a little paranoid but after talking to some more people I don't seem to have what other people call slipping. The car jsut really shudders a little between 25-40mph usually when going uphill when I am at around 2000rpm or so. It feels as if it is trying to figure out what gear to put itself into. I push on it harder, it accelerates and eventually just goes into the next gear when I get near the top of the hill or when i let go of the gas.
