Another very satisfied customer here giving another glowing review for acrdr aka Paul. Ladies and gents, if you need ANY work done on your acura/honda, I recommend you RUN, not walk to Paul's garage. I drove an hour each way and let me tell you, it was completely worth it.

He did the following on my car:

Replaced 4 spark plugs
Replaced radiator hoses
Coolant drain/refill
Drive belt replacement
Replaced front and rear brake pads
Brake fluid change
He also noticed my engine filter needed to be changed badly, and fortunately he had a spare filter on hand.
Visual inspection of the rest of the car and told me what to watch out for in the coming miles/years.

All for a very reasonable and excellent price. He answered any questions I had and it was a pleasure watching him work on my car. Highly recommended, A+.

Great seeing you again Paul.
Excellent full timing belt service (belt, pump, pulleys, tensioner); runs quietly now.
Have better acceleration response from the APP sensor change.
Thanks for noticing and fixing my engine mount; the mechanic who put in my engine mounts didn't screw in the bolt entirely because of bolt rust (didn't mention it to me).
You make doing these services look effortless; if your not a mechanic or extremely mechanically inclined, trust me don't do it yourself, go to Paul.

Well better late than never. I have started going to him about 2 years ago and I have never turned back. The quality of his work is absolutely top-notch and is a very personable guy who really knows his stuff.

I'm going to try to name what he's done on my TL starting from the top.
1. Replaced front CV axles, been great so far no clicking sounds.
2. Compliance bushings
3. Brake Fluid/ Power Steering/ ATF 1x3/ Oil change
4. Installed brakes and rotors
5. Fog light rewiring and ballast replacement
6. My most recent trip was yesterday where he replaced my motor mounts, oil change, and did a rsb install. Absolutely flawless and I was ripping it around the corners when I got home hehe.

I might have forgot some but nevertheless I've had nothing but great great great experiences with this guy. He's incredibly humble and has great communication with his customers and you'll learn a thing or two as well. Probably next time I'll bring a 6 pack when he installs my turbo lol. But my next service will probably be the major 200k mark and i've read testimonials about his timing belt service and there is no doubt in my mind i'll be going back to Paul. Bottom line is: if you're having trouble installing, local shops are ripping you off, or you just don't have enough time - GO TO PAUL. It's a win in all aspects. Trust me. Cheers!

I just got home after paying my first visit to Paul. I would definitely recommend this man to anyone looking for quality work on their Honda and Acura. I had both front compliance bushings, front ball joints and front sway bar stabilizer links replaced on my 2004 TL. The compliance bushings were actually not that bad (minor tears) considering the car only has 85K miles. Better safe than sorry with the winter coming up and the copious potholes to deal with.

Satisfied with Pauls service on my TL. He serviced the bushings on the car and replaced the 3 & 4 great solenoid switches, and replaced my rear-view mirror. Paul is very knowledgeable and pointed out many things that seemed out of place. It was well worth the price and the tolls to get to NJ. Will be visiting him again to troubleshoot my power steering and 105k maintenance. He also topped of my fluids, which i greatly appreciated (could of had a major oil problem) Thanks again Paul!

Hey guys,

Yet another satisfied customer here. Visited Paul yesterday for some maintenance work on my 06 TL and this guy knows his stuff. Anyone looking for a good mechanic in the North Jersey area go see this guy. Very reasonably priced as well, everything took a few hours but Paul replaced both Comp Bushings, Inner and Outer TieRods, Front and Side Motor Mounts and to top it off he quickly tied off one of my Cat Converter heat shields, we also quickly changed engine and cabin filter as well.

Bottom line, I will be heading to Clifton to see Paul on future work for sure

Paul is AWESOME!!!!!

Paul is AWESOME!!!!! I have a 2009 Honda Ridgeline with 105,000 Miles on the clock. When Paul finished it rode like NEW after I got a Alignment. Paul replaced my Timing Belt/Pulleys/Drive belt/Rad Hoses & Coolant/Water Pump/Tire Rods/2 Engine Mounts/Spark Plugs and preformed a Trans Service all in 1 day. Belive me his qoutes are easily 50% less than the Honda dealer and he will use OEM or Aftermarket parts its completely up to you. I will get my Ridgeline to 200k and beyond and Paul will be the man to service her going Forward.

PAUL! Glad to see the status change! Recall I had you give my car a look-over in the late fall or so (black and white 2006 TL, 6MT). Hope you and the missus are doing well. I've got my TO-DO list totaled up,

- Motor Mounts (all)
- Tranny Mount (all)
- Upper Forks
- Tie Rods (outer, inner)
- Ball Joints
- Compliance Bushings
- Brakes w/ fluid flush
- Spark Plugs (car is at 176k, should we replace the seals?)
- Valve timing adjustment (although I'm not sure it's needed?)

I'll be supplying all parts new, OE, w/ new hardware as well as all fluids (the car runs on all AMSOIL products). I'll give you a call Friday night to discuss how long you'll be needing to retain the car and pricing. Let's look to do this in June.

Talk to you soon.

Just wanted to chime in with my experience with Paul.

I originally found a Acura tech to do the 105k service. Upon inspection of my vehicle, he found items that needed attention. He mentioned something that I was not quite sure of. I received a price for parts and labor and felt it was somewhat high.

I decided to come here to do some research to find a mechanic. I contacted Paul, received a quote that was reasonably priced than what I was going to go with originally!

Paul did the 105k service along with:
Front and side engine mounts
Tranny mounts
Compliance bushings
Drive belt tensioner
Air filter
Spark plugs
Changing of all fluids
Drive belt
Radiator hoses
Tire rotation.

He even threw in a few freebies because of the amount of work that was being done. I would definitely recommend Paul. I had a good experience and I will be sure to visit him again!

Paul is the best! He did my last timing belt/water pump job, valve adjustment, motor mounts, headlamps, rear stabilizer bar end links, spark plugs, and a few other things I can't remember.

He's now the ONLY one I trust with my car. Go see him, you won't be disappointed.

Honda/Acura Mechanic in North NJ

Just got home from taking my car to Paul.

All I can say is I am 100% satisfied with his work. Its like he does the work with little effort lol.

I took my TL in for the following

-Timing belt with water pump and tensioner
-radiator hoses
-front side and rear mount
-compliance bushings

Car drives better than ever. He's a super cool and humble guy.

We later found out that my brother was one of his old coworkers !

My brother had nothing but good things to say about him.

For ANYONE in the tri-state area who is willing to go to NJ for mechanical work, go to Paul ! No one else will be touching my cars.

Thanks again Paul !

Just picked up my TL from Paul today. I am very happy with his work and I am very glad we have Paul here in New Jersey. He is a super nice and honest guy, and he will be the only mechanic for my car from now on.

Had Paul change my compliance bushings and install rear camber arms last Saturday. He's excellent! Easy to get to off Rte 17. Worth every minute of the three hour drive and I'm going to have him do my 105k this fall. (And maybe do cams while we're in there) You up for it Paul?

And to anyone with weird handling problems, check your compliance bushings. My car feels better than it has in years with the new bushings, even though mine didn't look horrible (I've seen pictures of much worse). Nice and taut, no more wobbly steering wheel when going over minor road imperfections and no more tramlining. The car was becoming a chore to drive, but the whole way home I could just keep a light hand on the wheel. Got it aligned Monday and it almost feels new again. I should have changed these a few years ago!

Definitely looks like I'll be checking Paul out! Just curious, for those of you that have done the timing belt service (3g), I noticed he has a rate of $450, is that for the parts? labor?

Thumbs up Thank you Paul!

I too wanted to say thank you to Paul for a great job, well done!

I just had him do my 105k service (timing belt, drive belt, water pump, tensioners, new plugs and new radiator hoses) and I couldn't be happier.

Paul was thoroughly professional, expert in his assessment of my vehicle, courteous, and good natured to boot. What a great guy. I'll be back to him soon for a valve adjustment and some other work. Thanks again, Paul!

Hi Paul,

Wondering if you could do a PPI on an NSX, or recommend someone in the area who can?

I'm a new member, so I can't send a PM yet, but perhaps if you can send me one, I can respond somehow.

Thanks!

Thank you for your tips, Paul, Tint rear windshield

Thank you for your tips, Paul. I tint the rear windshield, now I don't have problem from the rearview mirror that somehow the auto dim doesn't work.

bought the pre-cut film (20%) from ebay at $14. I think I did the worst tint work when applying the film to the rear windshield with plenty of air bubble and scratch to the film. but it works great with no more glare from the headlight from behind, as if the auto dim works now.

Just had Paul perform the 105K service on my car. He's FANTASTIC, extremely knowledgable and knows Acuras/Hondas in and out. Great service with very reasonable pricing. He took the time to inspect other components of my car and advised me on what needed attention. The only negative thing I can think of is that I wish he were located in Queens for my own convenience! Regardless, well worth the trip over to NJ. Anyone considering Paul, do yourself a favor and let him work his magic on your car. Thanks Paul!

Below is the service performed.
-Timing Belt Service
-Drive Belt
-Water Pump
-Spark Plugs
-Radiator hoses
