Portland Speed Trap Map

I've been putting this together for a few years now and have just added some new information to it. I'm hoping it might be useful to those who live or spend time in this area. And for those who have info you'd like to add to this map, PM me with details and I'll add it.

Should check out http://www.trapster.com/ they have an app for most phones. It's a pretty cool app. It makes it easy for you to mark these locations and also show when a person reported it.

Twenty years ago a mechanic told me that it is best to avoid speeding on any road with a number for a designator. IE: HWY-26, I-5, 217, etc. This has been good advice as out of the tickets I did get only one has been on a road with a name.

It takes quite a bit of work to speed in the Portland area unless it's nighttime. It's those darn Priuses I tell you (and Volvos)

Funny, I was stuck behind a little old lady in a Seafoam-Green-Pearl Prius doing 15mph with the right turn signal flashing for 6 blocks this morning on the way to the parking garage (Complete with anti-war bumper sticker).

I love the cars that have 'Free Tibet' on one side and 'No More Wars' on the other.

Apparently if we ask nicely, China will release Tibet

It's funny...I rented a Prius a few years ago just for the Jeff Dunham show. For those of you who watch his material, the joke about the powder blue Prius was the inspiration to rent the car for the show. It was blue. But my point is this; when I drove that car, bicyclists didn't get angry if I didn't move six miles over and I swear they all smiled. It was like I was a member of a little club...I mean cult.

You forgot about the Subaru's blocking the far left lanes. Not the people driving the turbo's . . . most of the time, just the non-turbo'd cars.

^Or my personal favorite, the overly confident winter snowstorm Subie drivers. I have seen more Subaru's on the curb and in the ditch than any other vehicle simply because they think their AWD defies the laws of gravity.

lol at the 99E one. That's right by where I live. I sometimes go through there on my way home from work. They do usually have some vehicle stationed on the other side of the bridge, parked on the side of the road. Sometimes it's 2 patrol cars at once, sometimes it a van. I actually have seen a number of people get pulled over when I'm cruising around that business district.

What's annoying though is that when I'm driving through that trap, going about 30-32 and some kid behind me is tailing me so hard. The cop must see them, but they do nothing. Is that not against the law alluva sudden?
