Pacific Raceway Opening Weekend

It's that time of year again. I have been dying to see what my car will do in the 1/4 mile. Charles and I will be putting together a meet at the dealership on the 18th of April than a stop some place in the south end to pick up another group.

1. Lets figure a time to meet at Acura of Lynnwood
2. Figure out a place in the southend

Gates open at 8am
$30.00 get you and your car all day

This is all depending on weather.

Who's interested?

What time were you thinking of going down? I've never tracked before, but hey...$30? I'm down.

I might be in, but I would have to check my schedule, it all depends. I would meet up down south though, since I now live down here.

If I make it back from PDX by Saturday night, I'll come out. Probably will take the FX45 out instead of beating on my DD.

Rob, weather looks to be good at this point ***knock on wood*** What time were you guys planning to attend? I'd like to take my wife down so that she can drag the FX.

Most likely, I can meet you guys down in the south end somewhere. I live by Southcenter so there's no point in me driving up to Lynnwood, then back down. I'm totally in for this event though.

Good to meet you Rob and your buddy with the NSX. I ended up taking the FX45 down.

First pass: RT of .743, 15.214 @ 92.08mph

Second pass: RT of .158, 15.202 @ 89.74mph

I wasn't too disappointed since the 45 was rolling on 22"s and didn't drag in "stick" mode. The crappy thing, announcer said that I was in a Lexus as I was flying down the track, then corrected himself by saying Infiniti. What a knucklehead. LOL!

All in all, pretty fun, I should have paired with slower cars since the WRX and Turbo-Civic pulled down 13.53 & 12.455 respectively.

Rob's car did very well...I think his trap speed was in the triple digits. HOLY COW! and the NSX pulled down a mid 12s pass.

My car did pretty well but I suck. Charles ran a 12.5 @ 114ish. I was so excited after waiting for 5 hours that I spun my tires through second and part of third for the slowest time that I have ever ran at Pacific raceway. With that said the car once hooked up still reached almost 100mph. I will be going back down in the next couple of weeks and I will post a time slip.

For the first time ever dragging our cars I think we all did okay. I know that I could shave at least another .5 or so. But all in all, on 19" rears, street tires which I didn't even adjust the pressures on, a weak launch, and with with the A/C on....I'm pretty satisfied for my first try.
Hell, I've never even done a burn out in my NSX until I was lining up to stage! LOL!!!
