the more i look into this car, this car is very very suspicious.

day 1
- all the engine wirings and plugs are new
- oem intake assemblies are new w/new high flow filter
- brake master cylinder is new
- starter/dist cap is new
- custom sub enclosure
- like new taillights & side mirrors
- cheap exhaust job with loud ass muffler and 3 exhaust hangers missing

day 2
- found out springs are eibach prokits

day 3
- shocks are kyb agx adjustable dampers
- very very dirty and gunked up underpinnings unlike other parts of the car (same thing for torned/beat up seats)
- recent tranny job?

day 4
- speakers are jbl gto series 2 way

^^possibly a hobbyist car? How does it run? Maybe concerned it was in an accident? Most OEM's put labels on the fenders and what not and when they are in accidents those labels have been removed, that's always a sure fire way of telling.

^^ i was thinking the same... did you do a nice buff job on the paint to look it over and see if its recently repainted.. check the door jams.. sometimes if its too good to be true then there is a story behind it..

awesome though that it has alot done so far.. less for you to do.. wish it was a stick.. the more i look at it the more i like it..

driver's fender bolts are color matched and passenger's is not. trunk's been repainted for sure. motor runs really strong and auto tranny shifts fine too other than little rough second gear. also suspension busings are really old and car squeaks on rough surfaces. other than that its very mint 240sx unlike most other's that are truly beat up and riced out. plus dash board and doors show no hint of sun damage that are common with older 240s but seats are beaten up.

compared to my older '89 240 i bought years ago for $900, this one is very luxury vehicle

my first 1989 240sx
-roll up window
-manual side mirrors & passenger mirror broken
-driver's fender color mismatch
-only one headlight working
-passenger seat missing
-clearcoat gone
-although it was 5spd

now second 1993 240sx
-power window, door lock, side mirrors, sunroof
-working a/c
-and others i listed above post

love red lobster's biscuits

240sx today's update

- Passed deq $21
- Got 4 used tires @ discount tires $100
- Replaced muffler @ speed concept $100

one tire was totally bald and others had bad camber wears. stopped by at discount tires after deq and they had used tires for $15 a piece and $10 a piece to mount/balance. now it rides much better and i feel safer driving this car. probably after an alignment, this car will become luxury beater.

So ODOT is finally gettin off they asses and trying to fix/clean the roads...allegedly. Except for when you're driving next to the damn sweeper and it picks up rocks that smash your windshield. Really good job. Thanks ODOT for the 3 wonderful chips and an amazingly perfect circular crack in my windshield. Oh and for the 1/2 inch dent in the hood. You guys are doin an awesome job. N concrete patches over in Wilsonville..lookin good.
Are they seriously that broke that they can't repave that whole shitty stretch of freeway?

Red lobster was the bomb...

but coming home i had a party foul...

everyone be warned.. there is a grey mustang with tinted windows rolling around that is a undercover cop.. i got nailed for doing 70 in a 50.. he followed me from 217 all the way to just pass the tunnel on 84 north and pulled me over..

have to admit the cop was cool.. cause he coulda busted me for a few more things.. and also got me for 80 in a 50 but dropped it to 70 in a 50.. also complimented the car =) but ya be on the look out for a light grey 2005ish mustang dark tinted windows lowered alittle

I just pretty much try to bring it down n relax whenever I see a mustang or charger with tints windows. Odds are they are uc cops. I got pulled over by a tahoe a few weeks ago after the douche had tailed me for like 15 miles on i5 and in woodburn. Hate coppers...

Oregon pavement generally sucks both in quality and in maintenance. I can't believe how loud the 'new' pavement on 217 has become after only 3 years. When I was only my road trip I used my decibel meter app on my iPhone to measure pavement noise levels. In central California on I-5 it was fluttering around 68/69 decibels and outside Vegas it was 71 or so. Around Portland it's about 75/76 db and on I-5 north of Ashland? 83 decibels!!! Hearing damage begins to occur at 85 db.

ODOT allowing studded snow tires is one huge contributing factor. Studded tires are stupid and the only purpose they truly serve is to chew up the roads. Never mind all the people where it actually snows in the winter think we're all pussies.

Yea man..total bullshit is what it is. N the a** wipe pulled me over for reckless driving after I pulled some shit to lose him cuz I thot he was just some crazy road rager. I mean..he followed me thru freeway and either stayed behind or next to me but nvr passed, then in the city he followed turn for turn. It was some bullshit. But court on Fri and first ticket ever so Ima tell the judge what happened and that i freaked..hopefully he'll let me off easy without that shit on my record. Cuz copper coulda pulled me over for speed on the freeway and avoided the "reckless drivin" if he had. But no..total douche and got me for one the biggest violations. F**ker..

I hear that bro..Cali freeways after they get fixed up actually last cuz they know they're ultra high traffic roads. ODOT is just embezzling all that damn money is my theory!
And studded tires are ridiculous. Completely agree with you. I've never had to use anythin in snow but careful driving. Ppl here are just pussies when they see the thermometer drops to 30 and they start to hear that there's ice on the road. The news only makes it worse by exploiting the inch of snow that falls. Even this past winter..drove around in all the snow/ice with no probs at all. Hardly even a wheel slip. P-town ppl pretty much just suck at driving in general.

Hey..good point. I have seen a helluva lot more coppers on I5 in the past few months. And it's always those damn completely unmarked cars in the day and the state sheriff chargers at night. They have money to beef up their fleet so they can roll in comfort..can't believe they're still sore bout not getting paid more. Power hungry pigs..
I've lost my respect for coppers cuz of the one that pulled me over...

I've begun to notice this. California even though half the time you couldn't do over 20 on the freeways, had amazing pavement.

Out here when I get onto the freeway and open it up I end up 8 lanes over because of the "ruts" I guess.Something I guess I need to get used to.

^^cali most likely paves their major highways with concrete which is far more durable than asphalt and more "rut resistant" however; concrete takes longer to lay and costs much more than asphalt.

I think the worse part of ODOT "repaving" jobs is that the "skin" the highway with some thin layer of asphalt which ruts out in a year and leaves all kinds of little pebbles behind after they finish...

I was driving in the San Jose area not too long ago and they were doing some repaving, but down there they actually lay down a few inches of asphalt..not just a thin smeared layer of crap. They actually do a good job so they don't have to neglect to redo it in a year or two.
Those ruts in Wilsonville in the rain are so much fun. One second you're in the fast lane, the next you're over on the other side talkin with your big rig buddy.

Damn bro..that's crazy. It's amazing how fast ish can happen. I was drivin in the Wilsonville backroads one day after it had rained, lots of leaves on the road..took a curve too quickly (wasn't goin fast just too fast for the condition of the road) in RWD Toyota pickup and back end lost traction. Ended up doin 180 on a narrow road with rock wall on one side and effin 30-40 foot drop off on the other. I almost shit myself.
