Your time was slower, but you left almost .4 seconds before him off the light. Which is why you beat him by .319 to the 1/4 mile.

And remember the time doesnt start untill you roll out of the timing lights...In theory you could sit at the start line for 5 minutes after the light turns green, and still make a 15 second pass. Your reaction time will be shitty on the time slip, but 1/4 mile time will be the same as if you left with a .001 r/t

Not sure if i described it right. But with the case of your R/T...no matter how fast or slow it is, you'll still be running the same times.

Go watch the video i posted of me running on page 4.

the second run is a .104 R/T with a 14.5sec 1/4mile
the third run is a .294 R/T with a 14.5sec 1/4mile as well.

So in the last one, i ran faster than the RSX, but he beat me on reaction time, there for he was first to the finish giving him the "win" but my ET was quicker.


Anyways, you should go again this weekend, supposed to be warmer so that may help ya out on your ET and MPH, also i dont think there will be as much moisture in the air.

 

ya it makes much more sense now that you explained it to me.. didnt even cross my mind... whats funny is you can see my time get faster even running 15 minutes later which didnt give my car enough time to cool down.. so i hope to get a better reaction time gotta remember to take off at 3rd yellow when i see it.. instead of the green..

 

You see green and youre slow. Especially with our AT trans...Takes so long for it to transfer power to the wheels, even on foot brake at 2k rpm

I doubt it. He was with that group that had the 2 vetts, and the SRT Jeep. They were from middle eastern oil company or some shit...explains why they couldnt drive to save there life.

With that said, i so hope the 55 Twin Turbo Chevy is running again. On its last pass on saturday someone forgot to close the overflow tank and he dumped water the entire track...yet still did 8.8 @ 168mph spinning tires through the 1/8

my god... precat deletes were expected to be delivered today (day earlier than scheduled) and tracking confirmed that package was delivered at 4pm today. i was at home and still home and saw no fedex truck or anyone knoking on the door. e-confirmation says guy named kris signed for the package. wtf... it might take days to track down... wtf...

i'll might do machine polished finish if it'll be available. or chrome. either one will be fine.

on the precats... it took about 3 hours to do the install. it was nick's first time doing the precat installs and now he knows how. so next batters will be alot less than that. also it took longer because he worked on one of the stripped strut nuts to take the strut bar off.

its hard to describe the exhaust note, but its bit more raw now with all the cats gone. its not much louder than before, but tone is bit higher pitched with tiny bit of rasp. more like G35's higher pitched exhaust note. also i'm hearing bit of exhaust hiss when the gas is applied. not sure if this is normal or exhaust leak. the hissing could be from more exhaust outflow without the two primary cats but

smell is minimal so far. at first it was really bad with initial start after the install but smoke and smell died out later on. i'm gonna go out and drive more right now to see how bad the smell is. plus ecu needs some time to adjust for optimal gain.

The hiss could be normal. When my brother had his header installed you can actually hear the exhaust flowing through...making the HISSSSS.

We need to meet up so we can exchange exhaust notes. lol

yea.. header hiss can be normal depending on the makers. when i had tsx, comptech headers didn't hiss but dc headers did. so it all varies.
