New max-line took out my favorite bar close to work.
Funny, I took the train to work today. Had one to many last night after work and got a cab home. Really hung over right now. I was considering drinking some of this hand sanitizer on my desk.

so over the road ways being changed by lightrail and bike lanes it makes me puke.. downtown near lloyd center they took a lane away and made it a bike lane.. yet at the same time waste my fricken tax dollars on giant planter pots with plants in them.. i wish i owned a tank i would plow right through them.. PLEASE for the love of god someone infect the zombie virus in these idiots so i can go on a killing binge Thank you

Probably need to stop in that bar again, you know, just to make sure I paid my tab when I left yesterday. Eh-um.

Don't get me started on the prices for parts at that counter...

I try to edjumacate my lady on all the electronic, car and home stuff...but they just don't care.
Today I heard, "What are you doing with those cables?" Keep in mind Carrie has no idea what it is for, nor how much it costs. I said, "That's for the A/B spiltter so that I...nevermind...it's for the T.V. honey."
It is really pointless to explain what the cable is for. To her it could be something for the car or something I use to tie my beer can to the lawn furnature while I flip burgers on the grill.

Was just at RTA yesterday getting my '08 TL serviced (which I bought from them) and they recommended that I get my transmission fluid flushed and changed, even though the car only has 25K on the odometer. I questioned them on it, especially the price, but they insisted it should be done as the car is now 5 years old. Does this sound right to you all?
This is the second TL I've bought from them, the first was a base '06 I purchased new, and then upgraded in '08 to my current TL, so it's not like they don't know me over there. Should I get it done?

oil does get old even if it just sits there.. the thing is it has low miles.. i change my tranny fluid myself just for piece of mind and my own driving style. but judging by your car i wouldnt waste the money till its actually time or just do it yourself

I just looked through the records on both cars. Looks like TL never got a flush, but RDX got one at 28K for the "WTF" price of $199 in 2009. -AND- a cabin A/C filter for $42 & $58, parts and labor respectively.(Obvioulsy Carrie had the car that trip).
I would search around for a less expensive shop with a good machine. I'll bet you could save around $50 taking it to an independant shop (not a quick lube, most of them don't have expensive hardware like that).
Can't wait to hear what they tell me I need at the next service. I just paid $256 for front brakes at Les Schwab that surely would have cost me $599 at the stealership.

Will try my best to. I will check in more often to check dates and time. Since i got the bike(s) i dont really roam the boards much.
My car is still the same beside having fresh paint on the entire front end and rear bumper from being in a sandwich.

Another bad HWY26 commuter this morning. I was too nice and let this car into the middle lane, thinking she needed to head downtown, not south-bound. Sure enough, she drove like granny...then way, waaayyy after the tunnel she crossed the solid line and cut off all the cars we passed. I see it everyday, but I take it as an insult when the drive soooo GD slow. I mean c'mon, if you're gonna pass someone, put the hammer down. Don't hold up my trip to work.

The solution for me is "work from home" job.
She was just one of many idiots. My personal favorite is the left lane slow poke. The one that has two or three people pass them on the right before they get a clue and move the fuck over.
Or today's other moron, pulls into far left lane from middle lane only to be passed by drivers who were already in middle lane. ...thank god she was behind me...

my favorite is the I'm going to merge on, then slow down the slow lane so I can get into the fast lane.
Like WTF? the slow lane was moving faster before you got on the highway, what makes you think you have the qualifications at this point to get into the fast lane?
Or the quintessential Portland highway merge. I gauge the going speed is roughly 60mph, so I will merge at around 25mph because that feels so much safer to me.

Do you want to know someone with purple wheels? Although, I myself am a little white trash. Carrie too, she's in denial about it.

Thanks, great all around flashlight. Have $6 in my pocket right now. Funny because I was just thinking to myself, "What the hell would I do if the power went out?" There are no backup lights in this room and I'm in the basement.
