Unions first started with good intentions for the Employee (member) and the employer. However, many unions have gotten out of control, for example, GM. The auto workers unions had the rates so jacked up that GM simply cannot compete on price with the rest of the world and required a bailout (that and GM some how got involved in home mortgages...).

Like everything, there needs to be checks and balances, too much government and you get what we have today, not enough government and people run a muck. Too munch union control and goods are overly expensive, no unions and employees suffer.

We are considering all the options for a new interface with the outside world, but I'm gonna hold out on any purchases until next year as the price drop is dramatic in June and Intel and AMD start ramping up for that student July/Aug/Sept sales bump (which can also be a great time to buy)

Meh, I've just heard much more bad about unions than good. With unions you can get away with being a shittastic employee, still collect a nice paycheck. When I hear stories about obnoxious cops, bad teachers, etc. getting to keep their jobs after they do something that would usually be met with an immediate firing, I can't help but think about the people who've been unemployed for several months. I'm sure they're chomping at the bit to replace them.

I'm not sure whether I believe in Karma or not. Sometimes I feel like we (as humans) spend way too much time in our unconscious mind. We can easily convince ourselves that something is real when it is not. Men in black, ghosts, Bigfoot, who knows how much of it is real or perceived.

I watched a great program last night about our minds. Researchers think that 95% of what we think we see is actually a subconscious reality. What a trip...These words I'm writing right now are just a figment of your imagination.

Decided to pull a trigger on a Windows 8 tablet. Went with the Lenovo Thinkpad Twist, the i5 version. So far so good, getting it all customized and having a LOT of fun actually experiencing Windows 8 with touch. God it just destroys everything Apple in every way. iOS is a joke in comparison.

haha I watched a VHS movie for the first time in several years recently. I completely forgot all about the idiosyncrasies of that technology. Like when you try to watch the movie all the way to the end of the tape. Screen goes white, lets out something similar to a dial tone.

Also, I'm considering going back to stock with my air intake. Would it be stupid to try and sell a used CAI? It only has <20k miles on it, filter isn't too dirty. Not sure about this, since I don't recall seeing too many at all in the For Sale forums.

Do dropped tickets stay on your record as dropped? Or is it basically like it never happened? The cop didn't even show up to court so the judge just dropped them. So I'm assuming it won't affect my insurance?

Good news!!! Dropped is gone. I had a cop that wrote me a ticket and never turned it in. We were at a 4way stop at 2:30am and I rolled through it right in front of him. I think he thought I was drunk, but I didn't have a drop to drink that night...so I assume he had second thoughts after writing the ticket and tore it up.

Ironically, had I been drunk I probably would have come to a complete stop.

I have been waiting on surface pro as well. Decided 10" was too small for tuning and picked this up instead.

^It just needs to fit inside a standard note book. So 12" diagonal -OR- smaller than 8-1/2X11.

I say the bigger the better up to that size. Why would anyone buy the iPad Mini, Goog-nexus 7, Kindle, etc. I want to see my porn as close to life size as possible.

definitely. I was actually thinking of bundling it with the hydroshield + filter cleaner/oil. I mean they'd be useless to keep anyways. I bought the CAI for like $196 (clearance from Injen) so I was thinking maybe like $100-120?

I mean a used CAI comes with a used filter, so I'm unsure how appetizing that would be to anyone

I've decided my next phone is Google Nexus 4 for sure. Saw a real working one at T-Mobile store yesterday and the phone was pretty solid and had a nice feeling to it. Its $199 with 2yr contract and $499 without ($349 @ google store) but its not available to buy without a contract. Greedy T-Mobile, even with $150 inflation on full retail price, they aren't letting it go without a contract.

Maxx is a good idea because although this razr phone of mine is mighty slim, you can kill the battery just by surfing for 10-15 minutes. Unacceptable. Would have rather had the Samsung, but this was soo much better at the release.

(Wi-Fi is better for surfing and battery life)

On a transportation note, has anyone noticed how bad the spray is off the new pavement on Hwy 26?
I know they have new technology that was used on I-5 that improves the standing water blow-off, but they didn't seem to care about that when they laid down this new shit on 26 becuase the water doesn't shed and disperse properly.

I just feel like I'm not really using it. I mean I rarely ever push my car at all. I use it as a daily and I baby it quite a bit on the road. Plus even though I have a hydroshield, I'm still paranoid about the thing hydrolocking. I know it's VERY unlikely but still... Especially since I want to lower my CL soon, and lowering + CAI I know would make me even more paranoid about hydrolock.

Problem with going back to stock is I feel like when I took out the stock air box, resonator, etc. that I accidentally lost some of the screws and bolts for the thing. Probably won't know until I give it a try anyways.

Thanks. Didn't know that about the time frame either. Because having the speeding ticket on my record was what I was more concerned about than the actual ticket. It sucked even worse because the lady said they didn't offer traffic school or whatever because it was a state court or something.

But I guess I got kind of lucky because I was the only one there for a ticket and he probably didn't want to come in for one person.

Funny how that works.... lol.
