Hi Guys

Can anyone recommend a decent place to get some tints on
my newly purchased 2008 TL type S around San Jose/Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area?

Preferred Image. Got my 07 S tinted there 45/35. The guy did it right by taking off the rear quarter window and tinting it by itself. Great place.

 

Lifetime Tint. His name is Tony. He does it by himself. He is a professional, he works at a tint place in sunnyvale but on off days he does it at his house. I got carbon suntek tint in 18% done for 180 for all 5 windows on my TL.

One quick question though, does it interfere with your GPS/XM?

 

The carbon tint does not interfere with frequencies. I have navi and a double din and it doesn't do anything. Btw, the carbon tint doesn't fade either, so it won't turn purple or bubble.

How much did they charge you and what kind of tint was it?

 

^ 3m.. lifetime warranty. I think it's like 5-10% off their normal price if you pay cash. Hit 'em up and get a quote. I'm happy with the work.

 

What's the difference between 3M tint and carbon tint?

 

3M is the brand of the tint and carbon is type of tint, metallic is another type and probably cheaper then carbon.

yeah I got the tints done yesterday. Got the 3M CS tint for $250 from Quality Auto Glass & Tint in Santa Clara

 

If you don't mind the drive, Omega Tint Werks in Pleasanton. I've had my RSX-S done there and will be getting my TL-S done there as well. Had the RSX-S tinted for over 8 years and no bubbling/warping/discoloration at all!
